I'm not surprised tbh, England have been next to useless against spin in one day cricket. That's why I'd play Powar and Chawla against them along with Zaheer and RP Singh.
Not really in the picture then if his bowling isn't quite up to scratch, England have enough bit part bowlers without another. Not that good, wouldn't be a wicket taking option but he could be able to send down a few overs alongside Bopara or Collingwood.
His bowling isn't up to standard, but if he continues to develop his batting, he could make the side on that alone - especially given his style is what many England fans claim they lack. Not really in the picture then if his bowling isn't quite up to scratch, England have enough bit part bowlers without another.
So is Hunterbhai.Cricinfo said:5.2 Kirtley to Ganguly, FOUR, errs outside off and Ganguly makes him pay, another crisp push past cover results in another delightful boundary, the Indians in the crowd are up on their feet
Not according to cricinfo. How hard is it raining there? Any chance of a resumption?
So, for the good of the England team, you'd rather see the 33-year-old county pro, who was tried and failed at international level and has a poor domestic record anyway, score runs than the talented 22 year old prodigee? I don't get the logic there.was hoping Maddy could have done something big in this game. Would have done his chances of getting into the limited overs side a great good since i'm very worried about England top order now that Marcus is out..
Ha, oh yea forgot that Wright has been going all guns blazing as an opener this season. But then again its only his first season as an opener, i've only honestly seen him bat in a few 20/20 games & yea he has the shots but its hard to judge a batsman's technique in that form of the game for obvious reasons. But i'd like to see him do it for at least another season before he gets called up because given that England have NO senior accomplished ODI openers ATM if he gets thrown in & fails between now & the end of the winter tour to NZ it could affect him.So, for the good of the England team, you'd rather see the 33-year-old county pro, who was tried and failed at international level and has a poor domestic record anyway, score runs than the talented 22 year old prodigee?
