Inzy is set to join Yorkshire, replacing Younis Khan. At 37, the short deal will be Inzamam's first taste of county cricket.

Confirmed by the Beeb.

Rdiculous, absolutely absurd to have anyone joining a county with just four weeks of the season remaining. Are Yorkshire so bereft of talent that they can't manage with just one overseas player for four weeks? I can just imagine what old FST would have had to say about it all ...

No surprise to see that the Durham - Surrey game was drawn but why did Durham bat on this morning when they led by 374 overnight? You never see a side make that sort of score to win on the last day - I suppose it was because Harmison wsn't going to bowl.

Surprised to see that Batty's 102 was his 4th CC 100 this season; my impression was that he hasn't had a good year. Seems to be one of those players who makes runs without anyone noticing - the selectors included.

And Jimmy Ormond's 8 wickets at 58 must be causing concern - I'll be interested to see if he keeps Akram out for the next match. Both past their best now IMO.

Yea that irritated me, they could have batted more aggressively last night and got to a 400 lead then, instead Plunkett had 1* off 16 last night I think, partnership overnight was only 3 or something, they must have just blocked 4-5 overs. That meant less overs and no second new ball. Ridiculous for a team with aspirations of winning the County Championship.

Could be a good finish at Kidderminster - Worcs needing another 118 to beat Yorkshire with Smith going well ... not sure how many overs are left though. Everyone else seems to be playing for bonus points.

Yes 287 in 32 overs, but they were originally left more time - there was a rain delay which cost about an hour I think. Made their reaching the target all the more incredible.

BTW, I take it this thread will be used for tomorrow's FP Trophy final? I didn't want to start a new one if that's not appropriate.

Probably the two least 'English' sides in the country (13 foreign born players out of 27 in the match day squads iirc), so it wouldn't be that inappropriate for a new thread

Final due to start in a few minutes - fortunately the rain has stayed away. No Harmison but Warne, KP, Colly, Plunkett and Tremlett among the 'stars' on show.

Hants won toss and will field.

I know the filming of the toss was pre-recorded, but there seem to be a hell of a lot of empty seats.

Edit: Looks okay now, I imagine it took a while for everyone to get in - what with bag checks that they do nowadays.

Incidentally, does anything else think it looks daft to have both teams playing in virtually identical colours? (Hampshire's shirts are a slightly darker shade of yellow) I know only one side is in the field at any one time, but perhaps each team should have an 'away strip.'

Sensational catch by Carberry leaves Durham 58-1 after 10.

Durham doing well so far, shame Mustard forgot about the referral - hope England got a good enough look at his batting, it's blatantly obvious he should be getting a go ahead of Prior in limited overs cricket.

Hi SP, I was beginning to wonder if anyone else was watching the match. Nice knocks from Coetzer and now Chanderpaul; it must seem strange for Colly to be on the same side as Chanders and on the opposite side to KP. 210-3 after 35, there should be a target approaching 300 here.

That Mustard dismissal made uncomfortable viewing - he obviously saw the replay and didn't want to leave the field. Not something we want to see happening regularly.

Well I forgot about it somehow, one of those where you know there's something happening but can't remember what. I've got it on the radio.
