C'mon England go ftw damnit!

If you're gonna go down, go down in style.
Not going to happen now, they would need to score at around 8-9 an over for 35 overs. Besides if they bat the day England will enjoy denying India the win. They would prefer to leave India a 1-0 series win that should have been 1-1 than 2-0.

Does anyone think at some point KP is going to try anyway?

I think he'll up want to up the pace anyway, that's the way he bats. I'd be surprised if he really went for the win tho.

Strauss' innings really killed any chance England had here. Give England another 8-9 overs from this point and there would have been a glimmer of hope.

KP is upping the pace now - maybe aim to keep the required rate under 10-11 an over and then reassess with ten overs left. Very very slim chance and only one hiccup away from being called off, but I suppose it could be done...

Nah, at the hint of the remotest chance of a loss, Dravid will go completely defensive with no slips, and slow down the over rate to a crawl.

No way England will win this IMO.

What's the light like? How long could they stay out there to get through the "min required" 32 overs before the umpires sent them off (because obviously if KP is going the English are not going to take the light)

I think they'd take the light if they were offered it actually.

really? Not unless they lose at least two more wickets I'd have though.
Nah they will take the light at first opportunity I think.

England can't make 268 from 50 overs in a ODI with field restrictions so I doubt they don't believe they have any chance of winning from here.

I don't understand the English cricketing mindset at times. They're no real chance of losing the match, and its easy enough to stick the breaks on if you do lose a wicket, so why wouldn't you stay out there. If for no other reason, give KP the chance to get another century to his name.

Well, after Bell, it's the tail. Even losing 2 wickets could be dangerous. There is no Gilchrist at seven to keep the innings in check. Hell, there is no Warne either.

yes dude,England can lose it,if India gets 2 quick wickets. But,Engalnd should go for the win now.KP's previous record here at the Oval is fantastic on the 5th day and if he gets going bang bang !!Engalnd can win it.But,yeah .. itz an uphill task, but England has to go for the win now.We should try to save the series.
