exactly...poor tactics from the captain lead to the draw at lords...you cant just blame the rain as its part and parcel of cricket these days anyway...no way is it gonna overshadow a great series victory for india.
Totally agree. While I still think England were desperately unlucky not to win the first Test (let's not get embroiled in another debate regarding rain, over rates etc.), India have definitely dominated the second test and this one so far. Even if by a miracle England draw this Test India totally deserve the series win, especially since they will be the first team to wina series in England since 2001.

I can't believe there's any doubt in your mind, do you honestly expect Collingwood, Bell and Prior to put up any sort of meaningful resistance?

India have the series and that's a given, the only thing that will stop a 2-0 win will be rain.

I am trying to be less optimistic today. If I said what I truly feel like we'll win this England stands no chance blah blah... I would've gotten comments like "please you're embarrassing us Indian fans" or "there you go again, optimistic as usual" or "stop jinxing us"...

But now I get comments saying I am not optimistic enough... :-O

That was more about me venting at England than you tbh, really I just wanted to say how much of a walkover England are.

Yup. The one good thing about this series for England is that it just might wake up the management to how far off the pace we are nowadays. Of course, whether Moores is intelligent enough to recognise that remains to be seen. The fact that Prior is still in the XI makes that highly unliklely imo. Ditto the fact that our openers are either unwilling or unable to address the faults that have been apparent all series (and in Strauss' case long before then).

In truth, it's probably going to get worse before it gets better for us. SL will probably slaughter us on their own patch, and NZ are more than capable of taking advantage of the sort of half-baked cricket that we've seen over the last 2 years. Ditto SA next summer. I can't see that test cricket is going to be a pretty sight for English supporters over the next few years.
