I miss the NRL.
Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. When I was in the Caribbean/U.S. I struggled to get any scores. I'm glad now that I didn't considering Brisbane lost their first 5 or something. However, the worst thing was being only a few 100/1000 kilometers from the cricket action in the Caribbean while in the States and not being able to get any cricket scores.

Take it for granted here - we do.

Manly re-signed Jason King, Steve Matai, Glenn Hall and Adam Cuthbertson, as well as confirming the signing of Josh Perry and Heath L'Estrange. I think Luke Williamson is the only main first grader we need to re-sign for next season now.

The Perry signing was coming for a while, I hate the guy just reckon his soft. But he always had some potential and over the years the club done well to turn fringe first grade forwards into good first graders. So maybe we might turn him into a regular representative forward that some thought he might be when he first started.

After we lost Monaghan, Burns and Adam Groom I was hoping we signed a decent Preimer League halfback/five-eight who could play hooker. I guess L'Estrange might push Ballin for starting spot at hooker and along with Jeff Robson and Clint Halden give us a play marker option off the bench. But if Orford or Lyon get injuried were ****ed as none are good enough to start at 5/8 or halfback. Halden might do a job at 5/8, but were so ****ed next season if Orford gets injuried.

I'm a Parra fan and am going to the Dogs-Eels game at Telstra this Friday night.

Of course, I'm hoping my team wins, and just in case they do, I'm taking my cricket helmet.

Good luck mate, there'll be a big crowd at that one.

Think I'll head to see my Roosters take on the Warriors this Sunday too. Very big game for us.

Thoughts on the Ryan exoneration?

Personally, I can see why he got off, because the bloke was falling quickly. The problem though is that so many other blokes have been suspended when exactly the same thing happened - poor old Fui Fui knocked out Brent Kite at Parra last year on the goal line - was a bad one, but Kite was also falling qucikly coz he'd been tackled from behind. result? 6-8 weeks (he had form though).

Bloody pissed that we let L'Estrange go, should've been our starting hooker next season, Aubusson's overrated because he plays for Melbourne. Soon we'll have no Premier League side.

Yeah, I understand why he got off, but it better set a new precedent for all high shots on falling men. I've seen that exactly same tackle, in those exact same circumstances happen over and over and that’s the first time I’ve seen someone get off. To be honest, I thought it was a bit of a rubbish decision. If it had been Adrian Morley, Ruben Wiki or Simon Woolford (i.e. players with poor records), they would have been sin-binned immediately and a month on the sideline.

What a fantastic game - just got back from the Warriors v Roosters match - edge of the seat stuff the whole way through.

A fantastic atmosphere, and thoroughly worth the $21 :)

just saw the roosters - warriors score.....how could neither team score in golden point???? that bothers me....anyone else? i mean field goals are common in todays league but for two capable teams to not kick one is extraordinary, considering roosters had at least 3 players who could kick a FG and warriors had a few too.

Both teams bombed chances in golden point, it certainly wasn't through a lack of trying.

I see the media are calling it the game of the season.

Only last week Parra/Manly was the game of the season. I'm sure next week there will be a better game. Or so say the media.

Roosters v Warriors = game of the season fror mine

I was suprised at how many people were at the game, and also how cool did Saint Freddy look on coach-cam? Munging down food for the most part and then deciding to dust of the jacket come Anasta's field goal.

There were 15,000 of us at Aussie Stadium - the crowd was great.
Roosters fans to a tea, the team starts winning matches and the fans come back. The rest of Sydney based teams' fans aren't much better. But they are by far the worst at bandwagon supports.
