Good spell by Tremlett, my only real criticism of him so far is that he doesn’t make the batsman play enough but he got Sachin scratching around outside off which was good.

Real shame that we couldn't get a few more on the board, sounds like Tremlett is in good form. Pleased with the bowlers we've brought in this summer, anyway.

Bit odd that there. Tremlett very nearly cleans up Ganguly with a yorker but it goes for byes and India win.

Yeah what a gun, in hindsight, he should have gone to Australia. Forget Harmsion now tbh.
He did (CB series:) ), and he was a shambles not only on the pitch but from all reports his attitude wasn't up too much. I also believe he was told some home truths by Shane Warne earlier this year.

I think a sentiment like that is always echoed in a test series fought between close teams which England and India are here. India could have done better in the first test had Pieterson been out early or they didn't get the sun when they did (though Pieterson did do the gritting out before the sun came as well). Another reason why I hate that it isn't a 5 test series. Could have rocked so much more.

Regarding the bowlers - Anderson and Tremlett seem big positives. I am very impressed with Anderson.

Fair play India, the best team in this match won. I reckon we'll square things at The Oval, weather permitting.

Very good win for India, now they just have to hope for a ****load of rain.
Don't think that is going to happen, forecast for London in early August is good and with haven't had a cloud in the sky for three days.

They should scrap the ODI series completely and schedule two more Tests. We'd also get to see Freddy play some Test cricket this summer too, so added bonus. That's it, I'm emailing the ECB now...

Seems like it was a good spell from Tremlett in the end. He's looked pretty good throughout the match and has probably been the most accurate of England's seamers. It'll be interesting to see how he goes on a flat wicket though. Still, impressive so far.

Well done India. They did deserve the win. What I liked best about this effort and this entire series has been how India looks like a team out there. You can make that out in the contributions too. Almost every one has contributed at some point and that is why we are competing. Team efforts leading to wins are always so satisfying.
