I don't think he ever said it was the wrong choice, just that it had potential to be a mistake from team management.
Well like I said, his story, what he's done, what he's overcome, the things he's said (although judging a person on what they've said in the media is dodgy as) etc. Not something as minimal about what face they make after they bowl a delivery. And quite often there isn't enough information to judge a players personality, so I'd refrain from doing so personally.
Well I think its safe to say that England won't win, but a draw is very much likely IMO.

The thing is, you can still be a dick despite the fact you have overcome some big obstacles in your life. It's not just what face he makes, it's his general demeanour after he bowls and I think that kind of aggression is quite forced and looks ridiculous, especially with the regularity in which it comes across, that applies to the facial expressions, hands on head etc also. I am not judging his personality, he could, and probably is a fine bloke, but I dislike the way he acts on the field and I think it makes him look like a dick.

Can you ask a tailender to open the innings to protect your batsman against swinging/moving delivery?

It's happened before, Kyle Mills was promoted to #3 in order to protect Stephen Fleming from the conditions. It was not a sucess. Nigh****chmen are far more common and likely to suceed though.
