The thing is, you can still be a dick despite the fact you have overcome some big obstacles in your life. It's not just what face he makes, it's his general demeanour after he bowls and I think that kind of aggression is quite forced and looks ridiculous, especially with the regularity in which it comes across, that applies to the facial expressions, hands on head etc also. I am not judging his personality, he could, and probably is a fine bloke, but I dislike the way he acts on the field and I think it makes him look like a dick.
Yes I'm sure he could be a dick but we'd never know about it because we don't know him and we really don't have enough information. All we have is what he's achieved and his story and for me, that's enough to like him as a cricketer. However, perversely for you not to like some one for what you've stated above and think he's a dick for that is as I've said quite a few times now superficial and judgemental. These snap negative judgments people make about players really annoy and are a small blight on people's characters, imo, that they are prepared to judge a person on something so minuscule.

It's happened before, Kyle Mills was promoted to #3 in order to protect Stephen Fleming from the conditions. It was not a sucess. Nigh****chmen are far more common and likely to suceed though.
Can you prove on % basis?

No I can't, I meant that nigh****chmen are more likely to suceed compared to bringing a tailender up the order to protect a batsman from the conditions. You don't need any stats to back that one up IMO, it's just common sense.

Cant the specialist batsman cant bat through the overs left in the day? Why do you risk asking a less capable bat to bat on?

Well it is possible that the bowler will summon up a very good delivery, or that conditions and fading light could play a part in the decision to send out a nigh****chmen. What is the point in risking a specialist batsmen when you could send out a bowler to block an over or two?

Because, he would be right person to play tomorrow's moving ball well
