Richards The Perfectionist - A Genius of His Generation - Imran Khan

It's called learning from others Rich
I do learn from others, plenty, but quite a few others seem outraged that there is ever so much as a single circumstance where I'm not prepared to, as I already know sufficient information.

Different kettle. IVAR and county cricket didn't mix too well - hence his record wasn't that good. He was too much of a I-CBA-with-this type.

Hahahaha...that is so funny...you talk crap so much...you just guess so much and hope its right.

That's not guess at all, it's pretty well-known fact.

Someone once put it best "Richards was not an avaricious gleaner of runs".

It's well known that Viv didn't really go for the huge scores, Ian Botham (who is one of his best friends), said that by the time Viv got to 200, he got bored, and lost concentration.

That works against him TBH. The reason (or one of them) Bradman was so good was he could concentrate so well for so long.

Exactly. Have never been able to fathom why someone can say the fact that someone could only be bothered on the really big occasions is a good point.

Being good on big occasions and small >>>>>> being good only on big occasions.

Tbh, when I first read the title of this thread, I thought Imran was talking about you, Richard.

Merv Hughes said Viv was the only one who could physically scare him, by hitting his straight drives back so hard, Merv was worried he would be killed while bowling:laugh:

When I read the title, I thought he was talking about the other Richards, namely Barry.

Viv doesn't strike me as being a perfectionist. That accolade would be for text-book batsmen.

More than once when this thread was very new I had to do a vague double-take upon reading the title, TBH.

Always look for stuff about me, me. Most self-centred person in history.

Nah. Your self-centredness is not a patch on mine, ITBT. What's more, I've been promulugating mine to this forum far longer than you.

Meh sometime away from CW will be really good for you.

I mean how else can one even think about 'Richard' of Dickinson vaiety when the title is about Richards by the Khan of Imran Variety.

Atleast you should have looked at the thread starter, that should have cleared any doubts you might have had.

And for once I do agree with you that you are the most self centered person in the history. SS isn't even close, no one is.

Well, I'm used to lack of apostrophes on CW, and just took it to be "Richard's" as opposed to "Richards".

It could have been a brush with fame thingy, or maybe Imran has read the forum.

Actually, the more I type this, the more I think you may well be right:tongue:

wat is ITBT? And someone should really prepare a big excel list of all these acronyms and put it in CW mainpage, so that ppl can catch up. ;)
