During the 1903/04 season he was very close to being selected, but apparently Warner requested he not be considered. But thinking back he was never actually selected for a Test Match:)

Bloody hell! You would have to be a true boffin to even attempt to answer this one :p. I wouldn't know where to start in trying to tackle it
