No, it's not every day I go to Birmingham to meet complete utter strangers. I'm organising it but she kind of has to check who'll pick me up from the station. Wouldn't your parents be a little suspicious if you told them you were going off somewhere to meet people over the internet?.

Mine wasn't especially. It's more of an issue if you just know them on MSN or whatever, but in this case where everyone else going has actually met each before, they can all vouch for each other.

Nah, it was a mate who was about 4 months late on his rent at where he was staying for uni, so he fled back up north before he was forced to pay anything and had nowhere to stay for a few days.
