Stop being a ****ing baby, if you don't like the idea of voting on a poll then don't ****ing look/commet on it, simple as, with no need to start another pointless and pedantic argument in yet another thread.

What way are you suprised PF? Bevan's one of the 3 top ODI batsmen ever but Ponting also deserves his place in the side(they're the two i picked).
Hmm. Well Bevan has nearly always been in everyones top 3 ODI players, it just seems odd that people put him on a par with Ponting.

People aren't putting him on a par with ponting are they though as you get three picks so you could pick Ponting as being the worst and Bevan as being the best but they'd still end up with the same amount of votes.

Mostly, I do. When I think saying such things can help, however, I say them.

Where's Zareer Abbas and Greg Chappell in the Poll?

....after all, they are ranked # 2 and # 3 in the ICC ODI all-time rankings behind Sir Viv....

Stats

Zaheer Abbass: 62M, 60I, 2572 runs @ 47.62 13 F, 7C
Greg Chappell: 74M, 72I, 2331 runs @ 40.18 14 F, 3C

Yeah, from the Pakistani choices, I would rate Abbass higher than Yousaf in ODI's.

Zaheer Abbas is one of the best batsman to play ODI cricket, I don't know why Greg Chappell is rated so highly in the ICC rankings though, I've never heard him been talked about as anything more than a good ODI batsman.

Zaheer Abbas played the vast majority of his matches as a no.3 batsmen, therefore, he was in the number 3 batsmen poll, but lost out to Richards.

Which is why it's so crazy to exclude Abbas just because it's three or nowhere.

Me, Abbas and IVAR would be the first two batsmen down on a 1971-1989 ODI sheet, and I wouldn't really care who batted three and who four.

He played a fair bit at #5 didn't he? Seems silly to exclude him when he was perfectly capable of batting from 3-5, especially since ODI batting positions are so interchangeable.

I agree with Zaheer Abbas being one of the best ODI batsmen ever and him and Viv would normally be in most ODI teams....him being excluded because he batted most at # 3 and lost out to Viv is not exactly fair....Ponting should then also have been excluded from the Middle Order...as should Garner from the third seamer role because he was an opening bowler (as he is currently losing out to Akram and McGrath)....all equally crazy options, but just my opinion....good job on the polls anyway though DoG....one mistake is not too bad ;)

As for Greg Chappell, he averaged 40+ in ODI cricket when it was pretty rare and he was pretty consistant which may have boosted his ICC rating....anyway, I wouldn't have voted for him, but he should have least been in the Poll....
