State Captain
Am i the only one that finds it absurd that Mahela complains about the bowler grunting while bowling?
He should face Dilhara Fernando in the nets for practice.

The problem is most countries play Bangladesh out of season, so there is no domestic sides to play. Also most countries use Bangladesh series to build up for another tour. So they prefer back to back Tests, to get it over and done with.
But if Bangladesh played these tours in season, they would be able to play perhaps a solitary Test somewhere in the English summer, perhaps at the end, like Sri Lanka did in 1998 and plenty of county opposition beforehand.

Those old fashion tours are not possiable anymore with so much international cricket going on and so many tours played out of season. Sri Lanka wanted one of those tours of England, but they had to just use an A Tour instead to allow guys to get into form before the tour.
They would be possible, if Bangladesh didn't play so much international cricket, much of it trivial ODI cricket against the likes of Zimbabwe and Kenya. Then there would be time for a more lengthy tour.

The problem with Bangladesh is not only that they lose 10 wickets in a session and 2 balls, but also appear totally hapless with the ball.

I really would like to see how they would do against Netherlands, Ireland or Scotland in a 2-innings-match!

Nice double century for Sangakarra, disappointed that Warnapura couldn't ton up.

So would I. A full strength Ireland (with Morgan, Rankin, Langford-Smith, Botha) and a full strength Scotland (with Coetzer, Watson, Hoffmann, Poonia) could give them a real game imo.

If Scotland put out this side against Bangladesh...

Fraser Watts
Navdeep Poonia/Majid Haq
Ryan Watson
Kyle Coetzer
Gavin Hamilton
Colin Smith
Dougie Brown
Craig Wright
Paul Hoffmann
John Blain
Glenn Rogers

I'd like to see them against a full strength Ireland side tbh. Which imo would look something like this...

William Porterfield
Jeremy Bray
Eoin Morgan
Niall O'Brien
Andre Botha
Kevin O'Brien
Andrew White
Trent Johnston
Kyle McCallum
Dave Langford-Smith
Boyd Rankin

Dammit, Nafees was too aggressive. Looks like Bangladesh are attacking as their form of defense. Should be interesting to see how long that lasts.

What's Javed Omar been smoking? 28 from 20 balls, six of which have gone for four.
I think they realized that they're going to be bowled out quickly anyway, so looks like they're just throwing their bat at everything. Way out of the ordinary for Omar, though, I agree!

Bangladesh are well ahead of Scotland, Ireland and the Netherlands.
I doubt that! It might not be fair to judge this by the WC-ODI games, but, apart from the setup win over India, they simply showed crap for the rest of the tourney, even losing to Ireland. The setup win over SA gave me the benefit of the doubt, but that's gone now.

I'm not saying Bangladesh is NOT ahead of NL, Sco or Ire. But I do think that's the theatre they belong!

BTW, I was just gonna post Bangladesh was finally showing something, as they were on 8 runs an over after 6 overs (48/0). But in the next four overs they lost 4 wicket for 14 runs....
