**Official** Bangladesh in Sri Lanka

I hear lot of depressed Bangladesh fans, I dont know if this helps but they are playing Sri Lanka's best ever bowling line up i say in their 26 year test history. Murali has never had this much support around him but this could trigger intersting debate.

I certanily have dilhara ahead of Promadaya, Ravi Push or all the fernandos (TCB etc)
IMO this is the best bowling attack in the world.

Bangladesh were all out 2nd ball after lunch. Have there ever been a side all out on the first day of a test, before lunch?

This is just ****ing dire. I really want Bangladesh to do well, but FFS, put some effort into it.

TBF a few years back Pakistanm was shot out for 50 something in both innings of a test against Aus, this sort of stuff happens
But that was an aberration, not a regular occurrence. If that happened consistently to any team over a five or six year period, home and away, it would definitely be time to re-evaluate their status.

From cricinfo:

Two sessions into the test and the writing is on the wall. All that is to be seen is how many of the Sri Lankan batsmen can get to three figures, one? two? three?

That makes a mockery of the sport, and is certainly not a healthy situation at the highest level.

That's a great question actually. Welcome to the forums btw
I checked the Pak-Aus match in 2002. The 9th wicket fell before lunch, but the tenth 17 balls after lunch (Pak 59 all out).

And thanks for the welcome. I've been looking around for a cricket fourm for a while, and this seems to be the most lively one!

I agree.

Are there any rules set on when a team can become a test team?

Nope. Whenever the other countries vote them in.

As Warnapura creams 3 fours in a row, it has been announced Bangladesh tourin NZ for 2 honestly its better just to change that into 2 more one dayers and a 20/20 even though i know NZ desperatly needs test cricket, but Bangladesh is hardly test cricket.

I really cant understand the logic of having 3-test series against a side like Bangladesh. Srilanka would have used this as a opportunity to do some experiments like asking its senior players to sit down and giving some players from the bench to play....
