This lost their concentration is a complete nonsense. You don't lose your concentration when you're on 2, 0 first ball and 0 third ball.

Bell didn't play with the full face (possibly caught in two minds between Test and ODI mode). Prior just pushed at a widish one he should have left and Plunkett's was a bit of a freak.
You've gotta give the bowler credit for Bell's & Plunkers's wickets for mine. With Bell he'd brought the previous ball in to him & then got one to move away that would be good enough for a lot of batsmen early on in their innings. For Plunkers he got vicious bounce from a full-ish length, Plunkett was unlucky the ball cannoned off his leg to slip, but a decent nut still. Prior would be disappointed tho.

WRT Sammy he looks like he's got the makings of a good bowler. He's tall, accurate, gets good bounce & moves the ball both ways. My only slight reservation is that he's not that sharp pace-wise so could be fodder on a dead-flat track.

England had an ok day with the bat yesterday but nothing more. Cook had a faultless hundred besides the top edged hook to Colley more on 42 but otherwise another hundred for the chef. KP and Vaughan did well also. I was very dissapointed with the way England collapsed but in all farness they were good deliveries by Sammy who lokks an exciting prospect for the Windies.
I woulld be delighted if we secure the series tomorrow and will give the boys confidence ahead of the ODI's and the two india series'. A good start to the summer from England but I wouldn't expect anything less from the 2nd best test team angainst the 2nd worst test team in the world.

One could also suggest that Cook's record of six centuries, no scores over 127 suggests that his concentration/mental stamina isn't all that it might be.
That is one thing I am slightly concerned about TBH, so far he has six centuies but nothing over 130. I know he is only a young guy and has plenty of time to correct this, but it is something that he and the coaches will have noticed I'm sure.

Gayle gone. Quite good stuff from Harmison it must be said, credit, where credit is due although Gayle's a walking wicket these days anyways, was just a matter of time.

Harmison gets the wicket of Gayle, he deserved that one. Bowled pretty well this morning and caused the batsman some troubles.

Sidebottom hitting some good areas here, only bowled one bad ball all morning. Getting a decent amount of movement.

Gayle gone to good one from Harmison only a matter of time really
Disagree that it was a good one really. If Gayle had actually moved his feet, it would have just fractionally short of a middle stump half volley. Was overpitched really - which is quite a good line to Gayle, however it wasn't a "good one" in an intrinsic sense.

Yeah, liking him quite abit atm.
I'd have him in the side instead of Plunkett as soon as Hoggard comes back actually. I know that he and Hoggard are very similar bowlers, but I feel that he could do a better job than Plunkett on a flat deck.
