Nice comparison, I won't worry about what team wins or anything but I'll be keeping an eye on a few different players.

Pleased to see that Hall isn't part of the African team, I'd be pretty hacked off if he was skipping Kent games to play in such a pointless tournament.

The African squad for the Twenty/20 is laughable. As if thats even a close approximation of the talent in Africa. Further adds to the farce.

Few people in SA know this series is going ahead and even fewer care, and who can blame them.

In the end Africa did well to reach over 100. Good knock from Loots considering the situation but Asia only need to score at less than six runs an over to win.

Ended up being a simple victory for Asia. I expect slightly more competition tomorrow, but it's a shame so many top players opted out of this competition.

Filthy is a strong word, but the game was pointless and the whole series is a waste of time.

I think it's only a waste of time given the context. I remember years back (maybe a decade or so back) when I would stay up past midnight to watch a Rest of the World vs. Australia charity match (maybe it was someone else--the magnetic tape of my brain has been rotting). If this series had an associated benevolent cause, apart from spreading the game in Asia and Africa, international calendars were looser and better players featured, I think this could turn out to be pretty exciting.

That said, I do not remember the originally scheduled squads for the Twenty20 match, but if there were originally more South Africans, why did they opt out? Packed calendar, as per the usual?

You can write about the newly relaid pitch at the Chinnaswamy stadium. This pitch may in the future breed Indian batsmen that do not require a flat batting track to score runs abroad.
