oh well my apologies sanz, but again i agree with your initial side
well actually no, had a rethink, this is who i would chose now:
SR Tendulkar
HH Gibbs
KC Sangakkara+
KP Pietersen
Inzaman-ul-Haq * - Captain
A Flintoff
SM Pollock
Shaid Afridi
DS Vettori/M Ntini - dependig on conditions
SE Bond
M Muralitharan
Tendulkar - even though, his ODI since the 2003 WC has still been good and he franlkly the best ODI opener even, so you got to have him.
Gibbs - very destructive, Australia will remember his 175 very well
Sangakkara - 2nd best Keeper/bat in the world obvious selection
KP - fastest to 1000 ODI runs, another must
Inzi - his ODI form since VB series 2004 has been superb, not a clear cut choice by any means, but i personally would pick him
Freddie - for obvious reasons
Pollock - very economical bowler and his batting in ODI's at least is very capable of being in the top 7.
Afridi - on his day no one can be more destructive than him, has reinvented himself and has been a lot more consistent since 2004, for me cant think of a side playing the aussies without him.
Vettori/Ntini - top class ODI bowler, very economical and is a very capable lower order batsman plus a very record vs Australia. Ntini could swap with as conditions suite, since the side already has the great Muttiah.
Bond - fantastic ODI bowler, super SR and great record vs Australia. A must IMO
Muralitharan - the best offie in ODI history, no arguments
Unlucky to miss out: Dravid, Akhtar, Dhoni and Yuvraj mainly..
