Possibly. Strauss average up to the end of the SA tour was 56. Over the 2 years since then, it's 36. Time to work it out, Andrew.
Yeah, getting sick of him struggling simply because the ball's pitched-up. Hit it on the ground, FFS.

Cook, incidentally, doing so again just a sec ago...

Depends how many runs Shah scores in the second dig, if he scores a hundred then it wouldn't be out of the question for Vaughan to open alongside Cook in the 2nd Test.

Please, please don't let us see Vaughan opening. He opened in his last Test, too.

What's wrong with Vaughan opening? He has done it before with great success, averages almost 50 over 60 innings.
Check-out the details. He had 8 months of sensational stuff, during which time he had umpteen let-offs, and has done very, very little of note in his more recent opening Tests.

Hi guys,
Typical KP, he just comes to the crease and wrestles any initiative the opposing side have just built up by taking a couple of quick wickets, with a series of thudding drives through the offside, on the up! Great value.

Decent run rate, just over 4, like the way Cook's playing also, working it easily into the leg side, before unleashing his cuts. Good patience.

Wouldn't be the worst idea though, if Shah scores big in the second innings and Strauss fails.
