I'm so excited. By the sounds of it Flintoff has failed his fitness test, so Owais Shah should make the team.

Cricinfo Reporting Flintoff definately out.

I really hope England don't drop Monty for me he is a better bowler than Plunkett or Anderson in any conditions and to go in without a spinner against the Windies who without Lara are pretty poor against spin.

My cricinfo says flintoff's fitness test is on hold because of the rain.

Where's that mate?

I'm only reading that his fitness test has been postponed because it is too wet!

Cricinfo reckon that Anderson's on his way back to Lancashire, so we're looking at Harmison, Hoggard, Plunkett & Panesar plus Collingwood as & when needed.

Weather ought to be ok for today and tomorrow but its going to be a bit wet come the weekend - with had are quota of rain this morning and this afternoon should be ok though the overcast and rather humid conditions should last all day.

The weather concerns really shouldn't stop this game producing a result, I more than fancy this being a three day game. However, the West Indies fielding first has put a bit of a dampen on that.

England look so weak in the bowling without FLintoff. Here's hoping that Harmison gets 7-14 again!
