Have only got 3 players over the 20k BTR mark, all of whom all my allrounders (Canning, Tedstone, Terry). Have no idea about my team in the long term, except for the fact that if I leave Canning on his current one bat, bowl and field net setup, he should be sensational bat and exquisite bowl in two seasons.

Don't worry, I'm also a complete novice!

Just bought this guy for 27k and in spite of his age, have put him on a batting net, mainly to increase his conc. He's basically a stop-gap until some of my new trainees develop their batting, but I think he should do well in England VI? He also has the added bonus of superb leadership skills.

Let me know what you think...

Im still in the 20-20 Cup but PFL is really hitting hard now. Not sure how much longer i can last.

Hmm, just did some wage estimates for my squad, looks like my wage bill will be around 270k per week next season. Going to be a bit difficult to manage, my weekly expenditure will be around 420k, while income will only be 200k (with max interest) plus gate receipts. Unless I have a long cup run I'll be making a significant net loss over the course of the season (and even if I do have a decent run, I'll have to make the final to have a chance of getting a home game).

I'd expect the wage bill for the following season to be closer to 350k, so if FC isn't introduced I'll be well and truly screwed.

Ha! Serves you right for having all those good players!

Seriously though, I think a few sides are going to have some serious issues next season -- the ones that rely on two or three uberplayers are going to struggle financially.

I hope ;)

Im worried about my wage bill next season, if i get unlucky, and have a string of losses, im going to be in trouble. thats with a wige bill of like 70k, would have no chance with another 200k on top of it

Strolling to victory in my BT20 match, last 128 here we come. Can't be many CWers left - I know the big sides like Asterix and Whenuapai are out, plus the more mediocre ones like Withington.

This is probably a simple question but which typwes of nets should I give my players to improve their secondary skills such as Stamina, concentration and consistency ?

Stamina --> Fitness Net
Conc & Cons --> Fielding Net with respective primary net. If you have a keeper trainee his keeping net and batting net will get his conc up fairly quickly.

I paid 65000 for him because I've got no spinner and he looked to be a decent prospect

Personally wouldn't have paid more then 10k for him, his only mediocre and he will age to 18 in a couple weeks. Might you the prices could have increased a lot since i last looked for those players and that could a normal price, considering he should pop soon to competent and has good cons.
