If Simon Black isn't one of the top 5, if not the best user of the football i'm not here. Was easily BOG imo, Lappin, Stiller & Power not far behind. Harding was great when he was on, Brown was strong, despite having the goal-kicking yips, and Adcock was again strong in defence

Will sound like sour grapes coming from a Melbourne supporter, but that umpiring today was the worst I've seen in quite a while. Bull**** free kicks paid against both sides at crucial moments in the game. Even the ABC commentators are bagging the umpires, and they're usually restrained in their criticism of officials.
Still, at least we looked like we could win a game for the first time this season.

Bock didn't have a "good start" at all. In fact, he had an awful start and gradually went from looking hopeless to quite decent.
Anyway, he's obviously got talent, and you'd have to be an idiot to not see it, really. He's a long way from being a great player though. Give him a full season or two and we'll see how he goes.

The 3MMM guys weren't exactly complementary of them either tbh. Were particularly miffed at the decision to penalise McDonald in the last quarter for a "deliberate" out of bounds when the Dees where behind.
