Well **** me dead...

The only thing that saved me from being utterly pissed off was the fact that I'm staying in a penthouse all week till Sunday, so watching the game whilst in a spa kept me calm.

Will sound like sour grapes coming from a Melbourne supporter, but that umpiring today was the worst I've seen in quite a while. Bull**** free kicks paid against both sides at crucial moments in the game. Even the ABC commentators are bagging the umpires, and they're usually restrained in their criticism of officials.

Still, at least we looked like we could win a game for the first time this season.

I loved every minute of it, enjoyed it after watching Buddy destroy us on Saturday.

Interesting that Sheehan wouldn't trade Franklin for Judd. Im starting to feel Franklin is/will be the best in the comp. Thoughts?

He's certainly not the best player in the comp at the moment. Judd dominates that easily. He gets tagged like a bitch every week and still manages to get 30 touches and usually snakes a goal or two. Those touches aren't easy touches chipping it around, he gets hard ball. Plus add to that how well he reads play and how accurate a kick he is, as well as being deceptively quick.

Franklin certainly has the potential to be one of the best in coming seasons IMO, if he can keep himself fit and on the park I can't see why not, though I doubt he'll ever be better than Judd.

There looks like no doubt he'll be a good player but better than Judd i dont think anyone will be. Judds got it all.

Franklin still has to work on his marking he looks shaky at times. but put in an awesome performance on the weekend. especially versus essendons Defence. Fletcher and Michael.

Call me bias, but i'd dare to suggest that in this facet of the game, Simon Black is equally as good as Judd. Not as a good overall, but in terms of accuracy, and the effectiveness of his disposals, he's Judds equal. But then i'm bias, support the Lions and from QLD

Black's been playing top level footy for longer. Wait until Judd has that much experience under his belt

i have a mate who went to high school with him. He said that Black won high schools cup on his own just dominated and was so accurate then too. He also said he kicked 12 goals in a school game once playing in the midfield.
