Well IMO, the theory behind what the Tigers did was right. There was no point playing Gas when he wasn't much, if at all better than the current younger options (McGuane, Moore, Polak and Thursfield (when he returns)).
The problem is Terry obviously believed there was a chance Richmond could come close to finals this year, and hence kept Gas for insurance if the kids couldn't hack it. McGuane's maturity has come as a surprise to most I imagine, and now there's no need for Gaspar.
Fact is, we shouldn't have signed him up for another year, so really Gas is the one that wins, considering he'll likely get a pay-out from what Greg Miller said in the interview. Kellaway is the real loser in this. Had a much better year last year than Gaspar, yet wasn't offered another contract.
