Saker's had a good game, he's definitely staking his claim for a permanent place. Meanwhile, Hoggard's reached his 50!

Good god M Hoggard 53 not out - is that a misprint? This must be his bid to avoid the No 11 slot at Lord's!.I wonder how many runs he's scored off Warne?

Nice flurry of boundaries after lunch to ease some nerves. Lets hope Chilly can see us home, it would be good for him.

Warne's got Hoggard for 61 - great knock though!

Meanwhile, Charlie Shreck's taken the first 6 wickets to fall in Glamorgan's second innings - could be on for a 10-fer here!

Looks like lancs are hone now, Sutcliffes place in doubt surley?

Somerset look to have weathered the storm 240/4 still 540 runs behind though

Still can't believe Derbyshire managed to score over 800 in one innings.

Good to see Ali Cook hitting the straps early in the season too.

FFS that pitch at Taunton is a total joke. There is no way a side as dire as Derbyshire should be able to make 801, not even against Somerset.

Derbyshire, bat a long way down, have two extremely good overseas pro's, Somerset’s bowling attack is merely a two man profession and the game is taking place on concrete. Not such a ridiculous notion.

Although, I agree the Taunton wickets are an affront to English cricket and serious questions need to be asked for sadly this is not a unique occurrence.

Worcestershire, must be gratified to Cricket South Africa for there is a good chance Dale Steyn would have blown them away this afternoon, although, luckily for The Royals, Steyn had filled his quota for the day.

Also in regard to Warwickshire and South Africa, VB van Jaarsveld, who was talked about the other day is on trial as a possible Kolpak signing for next season. According to the news report, VB has become frustrated with South African cricket and Jimmy Cook put in a good word for the lad, who was playing league cricket for Moseley.

Bad start to the season for Worcestershire, Jaques really hasnt found his feet yet which is a disappointment given the hype around him! :@

Haha. Love how everyone's saying what I was saying (and getting shot down to an extent for) 4 years ago...
