Cardiff vs Millwall - arrests would be in the thousands.
Cardiff v Leeds would get a fair few one would imagine.

Anyway I see Jonathon Woodgate has sogmed a permanent deal with Middlesbrough paying £7m for him. In other news I see Jose Mourinho and Cristiano Ronaldo are having a public spat and Javier Saviola is apparently leaving Barcelona to join Real Madrid. Will be interesting if Barca fans decide to chuck pig heads at him then.

Cardiff is literally the only game i've ever gone to with policemen on horseback around. League 2 usually doesn't warrant it.

If you want a riot go to a Greek football match between AEK Athens or the other two Panathinaikos or Olympiacos, try France with PSG and Marseille or go to Turkey with Fenerbahce and Galatasaray or any of the other Istanbul clubs. Scotland as well with Aberdeen and Rangers (IIRC this is the most violent of all clashes in Scotland) or Boca Juniors and River Plate in Argentina.

So should have got a Kaizer Chiefs reference in there. :p

Who won the UEFA Cup match this morning?
Osasuna (Pamplona) beat Sevilla 1 -0 :-O

Espanyol (city rivals of Barcelona Matt) 3 - 0 Werder Breman  :-O

Shocked about the results tbh as I would of tipped both Sevilla and Werder to win. I guess there is still hope for Sevilla but not so for Werder who missed out on at least a crucial away goal.

Seen it a few times at Fratton TBH. Remember also seeing a bunch of Stoke fans being ******ed by police to the ground from the station, and being beaten with batons when they tried to break the ranks of police surrounding them to attack the Pompey fans either side.

4-3-3 for England..

Looking at how United & Chelsea played with these formations in theCL semi-finals i think that formation may be the best way for England to display good attacking football in the future instead of that boring crap that us fans have been subjected to watch so often.

A 3-man attack from left-to right of Cole/Owen/Rooney then in mid-field Hargreaves holding things together with Stevie G & Lamps given freedom to roam forward could eradicate most of the mid-field selection dilemma's most notably i.e who to play on the wings, the lampard/gerrard saga etc. McClaren has tried it the few times he has had come close to a full-strength side so i guess he probably has a similar view, all he needs to do is get them playing as a team & IMO i think it will suite the England side well.

On another note, looking forward to the season climax in la liga where i'm hoping Beckham can inspire Madrid to the title before he goes over to MLS, thus getting him back into the national side.

I think by going to the MLS Beckham was implying his international carrer is over. And if you are going to call anyteam in Madrid 'Madrid' it should be Atletico, not Real IMO. It would be like refering Manchester United as 'Manchester'.

I didn't care about the first match, but i didn't want Espanyol to win!! Bunch of losers. Yes as you can tell i go for Barcelona.

I'm not what you would call a "fanatical" fan.
Still it does pay IMO to learn about the club you want to support. I've never been to an Inter game yet I've learned about the club and players and I wouldn't call myself an 'ultra' (ie 'fanatical').

I will one day. I've seen Barca play 3 times and Everton 1 time, so yeah.

Wigan had them when they were in the lower leagues. Dunno why. Never got enough fans to cause trouble.

4-3-3 with Owen in the middle wouldn't work. If you're going to do that you need someone who can either hold the ball up well (Drogba) or at least hold it for long periods of time (Henry). Owen is a poacher, wouldn't be any good at the role.

Or rather the media was implying that. As i said if he continues to play for the remainder of his tenure @ Real similarly to how he played last saturday & somehow help Real tip Barcelona for the title. Even though he is going over to a league of less quality it shouldn't hinder his chances of representing England at all. After all his set-piece expertise can still be a very usefull component to the national side even if he comes on as a substitute.

fair enough craigo..
