My excuses WTH, I never made a single excuse  . What's wrong with you? I always acknowledged the fact that India didn't deserve to be in the top 8. I never moaned about the format or made excuses...

How long before one of them gloats about their ability in mathematics? Seems to be the thing to do in heated forum arguments these days...

Today is Watto's fitness test and more or less he should clear the fitness test pretty comfortably. Aussies want him to play in the NZ game so that he is not out of touch before the semis.

TBH, I have been really impressed with Watto's work ethics,he has worked his backside off to try to get fit as quickly as possible.

They should have played him against Sri Lanka instead of resting him, Australia's rotational policy serious needs to be looked at they are joke to International Cricket.

@ Chaminda_00, Mate what are you talking about Watson is not fit yet, today a fitness-test would be conducted on him to see where he stands with his fitness atm.

I think if anything Sri Lanka's stupid rotation policy is one that needs to be looked at, to say that their team-selection was shocking yesterday would be an understatement.

We were just following Australia's selection policy over the last 5-6 years, i.e you make a SF/Final you rest you big name players. Seems to work well for them over the years. I do find the reaction of the resting of players funny, considering Australia do it all the time. People have already commented on how long this World Cup has been, so i think it was a smart move. Also allowed our four other bowers to have a shot out for the last spot, didn't work. But it would have been better them playing this game, then playing Ireland and getting a 4-fer not making and making the side for Semi thinking they are in form when they are niot.

What did Watto do this time?

Don't really care about SL pulling out those players. Obviously made it for a lesser spectacle, but you do what you need to to win the title.

You've just got to hope though that it doesn't lose them any momentum heading into the business end. Although they've got Ireland next, dont' they?

Yeah but Australia don't rotate people at World Cups either. It's usually 'insignificant' tournaments and the part of the idea of the rotations is the build up to the World Cup. If you'd say it was a tactic to shield the two bowlers from the Australians that'd be fair enough, cunning some would say. But resting? Give me a break. Honestly, I don't believe SL didn't play those two because of preservation concerns even for a second.

And surely it's not in SL's best interest to be thrashed just a week or so out from the finals.
