No, but fielding for 50 overs 9 times over probably doesn't do them much good. Especially given that Murali's carrying a groin injury.

My laptop ran out of battery at about 2am, and my power cord was in my my parents room so I couldn't get it. I still stayed awake though, just wasn't posting. Should be back to normal for the South Africa vs England game tomorrow though.

Another comfortable victory, although a hollow one at that as it wasn't Sri-Lankas best lineup.

Really though, it's no different to the rotational policy Australia adopted in the CH series vs NZ or the CB series here when they were assured of a spot.
Do think, however, that they probably blew their best chance at beating Australia on a wicket like that by resting them.
Problem was the batting though. Don't know that Murali & Vass would have defended such a low score anyway, but it would doubtless have been closer.

Real shame that India especially got knocked out. I for one, have had no pleasure in watching Ireland get beaten by every major nation. This WC really could have been more competitive and better supported if India were still around and that is a shame.
Saying that, England have a shot at the semis which would have been unlikely if Dravid and co were still in the competition.
