I don't know what I want from tomorrows games because if Ireland wins then critics are going to bitch about it's just bangladesh they beat and how sucky Bangladesh is and how their wins were just fluke and how they are minnows too so no credit to Ireland etc. if Bangladesh wins they are going to be like oh, I predicted Ireland wouldn't win a game, Pakistan would be much better. Ireland don't deserve to be there, they didn't make any impact bla bla bla...its a lose lose situation. So best would be a tie but still then the critics are going to say some.
Surely from that point of view the best outcome is for Bangladesh to smash Ireland convincingly. As you say, if Ireland win, Bangladesh's apparent progress is reversed but no one will give Ireland much credit. A big win by Bangladesh would go a way to further demonstrating they are no longer minnows and would, IIRC, keep their mathematical possibility of reaching the semis alive. If they end higher on the table than not only Ireland but one of the big countries, that would put an end to suggestions they didn't deserve to be there.

England Vs SA will be a good game. Especially since I get the feeling that England tend to rise to the occassion (at times) as opposed to South Africa. On paper the two teams don't compare obviously, but I can see England winnng it.

Just cannot see us winning this game against SA. I'd love to believe we have a chance of beating them, but I have so little faith in anyone but KP these days that I'm convinced it's going to take a ton from him to give us even the slightest chance.

Nah I agree with Gelman, England have seemed to rise to the occasion a bit more so than SA. Definitely in with a chance.

Well the start of the Bangladesh vs Ireland game is little under an hour away, looks like it will be anothe sleepless night for me. Really hoping that some of the Bangladeshi batsman can get some runs under their belt, Shahriar Nafees and Habibul Bashar would be top of the list.

I think NZ should look to send someone like Franklin top the order to avoid exposing our top order batsman againsst VAAS and Malinga, if they meet SRL in semis..

Really staying up for it? I admire your dedication!
Had no choice really, I was awake when it started so I may as well watch it. I'm a Kiwi first up, the I'm a Bangladesh supporter.

Mashrafe Mortaza getting a heap of bounce in the first over, looks promising for him. Unfortunately Syed Rasel has rolled his ankle about 15 minutes before the toss, Shadhadat Hossain is his replacement.

What a cracker of a contest it would be had IND and PAK had qualified....It would be IND vs PAK match....totally different and opposite

This game should still be a good contest, even if the standard of cricket is a bit lower.

Shadhadat Hossain getting a nice bit of swing here, just straying onto leg stump a little bit. Very impressive pace though, he just hit 137 km/h which is very quick for a Bangladeshi bowler. Combine that with his height, aggression and ability to swing the ball and this lad could be a very good bowler if he improves his accuracy.

Its good context but not a great contest as IND-PAK old rivalry would be ...Heated exchanges had been there if IND ..PAK played each other at worldcup level

Raghav is right... It is a real shame that the big sides didn't make it to the super eights. I think the novelty of having Ireland here is well and truly over!
