I liked the look of some of Pollards shots in his short stint seems to be quite a decent player.
His dismissal was top draw laughable but I didn't see enough of the kid to form an opinion but lets just say his batting has to be better than his bowling. :-O

Ntini's form must be a real worry for South Africa, his looked hopeless bar one good performance against Sri Lanka.

Feel sorry for the WI public and the those workers who had a hand in organising the tourney - no crowds (which dickhead set the tickets at such ridiculous level?) and poor performance from the home team

This was supposed to help revitalise the game in the Carribean - good luck

Anyway, good performance from the Saffies - bit of consistency and they could claim the prize

Was the run rate at 10.5 with fifteen overs to go then?
No it was pretty steep though. Browne and Bradshaw batting with only Collymore to come. From memory it was around a run a ball or more required with 10 or so overs left. A worse position IMO.

Second wicket for Smith. What a farce. I hope his ploy doesn't work and he's still banned for slow over rates.

From what I remember WI were always batting at about the required run rate which was just over four. I'll have to check now tho.

Surprised by SA's faffing around at the end, their weak net run rate could knock them out.

Still was a worse position though considering all the factors.
Well Harmison and Flintoff only had 3 overs left going into the last 10, the rest were bowled by a then fairly poor part-time bowler in Collingwood, Wharf (rubbish, only ever got people out by hitting the middle of the pitch at around 80mph), Gough (truly awful) and even Trescothick.

So its the end of West Indies's WC dream, and the kind of attitude they have show they don't even deserve to win a single game. I feel bad for Lara for a great player like him his odi career is finishing on such a low which is such a shame.

The West Indies have been trying to rebuild their team for such a long time but looking at their team now one would say even the first load of bricks are yet to arrive for rebuilding.
