Again... over 10 an over from here?

I always heard the formula was "double the score at the 30th over, then subtract 10 for each wicket." So, looking at 300 in that case, basically - but I'd be tipping 320 odd.
Hope so, just put 10 bucks on more than 312.

Good over from Sarwan, then Gayle bowls a ball that turns to the surprise of everyone who has ever seen him bowl - Kallis bowled for 81.

This is what annoys people about Kallis. He has proved that he is perfectly capable of maintaning a high strike rate (like now), but too often just doesn't. Quality player when he's in the flow though.
I was thinking over this and a bit more on Kallis. I think he might well be incapable of slogging more than any thing. None of his shots early on in the inning even when he was hitting sixes were slogs. They were good cricket shots.

A problem is, he doesn't even try to hurry things even when the situation demands at times (like in the game versus Australia). So in the end, he ends up harming his team a lot of the times while at the crease if the situation demands quick runs.

It's not like he was leaving and blocking at the end against Australia though - he was playing shots to every ball in his most aggressive state of mind - it was the simple fact that Australia bowled well and set a good field that stunted him. And again, it's not like he crawled along at snail's pace - he just didn't keep up with the rate that was set. People that claim he didn't try when the game was still in the balance aren't really correct though as it wasn't his role to do so early on, and then he simply failed to execute so later.

Sarwan and Gayle looking much harder to get away than anyone so far in the match - Lara missed a trick by not getting close to 20 out of them in the middle of the innings IMO.

Not saying Australia did not bowl well. Of course they did. I am not even saying he did not try to win the game. It seems he is incapable of playing outside his comfort zones or cannot play successfully when he tries to. How many times have you seen Kallis slogging successfully over a period of time?

That's fair enough - I just don't like hearing that Kallis deliberately disregarded the state of the match for the sake of his own average because, quite frankly, I find that rubbish. No arguments with your above post though - Kallis is simply not very adaptable.

As for your question... against good bowling, I'll go with never. He's just not very good at it - much like how Mahendra Dhoni is not good at blocking and milking singles.

Does Windies have any chance of winning this game, what do you guys think?
Well, I think they do, but I'd be backing South Africa obviously. South Africa's bowling against Australia and Bangladesh was quite poor, and this pitch has seemed to favour the slower bowlers so far. South Africa are quite obviously favourites, but I'm not prepared to write the West Indies off - and I'm not one to hold back on predictions as my Greigy awards cupboard shows. :p

What's with SA and minor injuries whilst batting? Smith Vs Australia, Gibbs against Bangladesh (although that happened whilst feilding iirc) and Kallis and AB tonight.
