Proteas looking good for a 350+ score considering they have a Power-Play left and 9 wickets in hand.

Going to bed whenever Kallis gets out.
He's my DT captain, he ain't going anywhere.

Word is Kallis was thinking of going off when he hurt his ankle, but stayed on for the good of my Dream Team. He's a team player, and is leading from the front like a captain should.

Seems a weird choice of captain in the one day arena...

Pollard getting his first over in, in international cricket.
Hmm.. well I know it was only one over which isn't a particularly fair sample to judge someone as a bowler, but from what I've seen, there's no way that his bowling should be a factor in selection. He's bowling another now - cue a hat-trick. :p

Yeah, far too slow for a bowler who doesn't really do anything with the ball. And he wasn't really that accurate either.

They say that a good side doubles it's score at the 30 over mark, but I guess you can add 60 odd runs onto that, because SA have only lost one wicket so far. I'm guessing around 360-370.

Yeah they should.. but we said that about New Zealand yesterday.

Am I right in thinking that England want WI to win?
Yep. If SA win this match or the one against NZ England have to avoid defeat/win against SA to stay in the tournament (realistically).

Again... over 10 an over from here?

I always heard the formula was "double the score at the 30th over, then subtract 10 for each wicket." So, looking at 300 in that case, basically - but I'd be tipping 320 odd.

Gun.

Will move into top place by the end of today. I've had him captain from day 1. You want consistent players as your captain in Dream Teams, particularly when you can't change from 'round to round', and on top of that, Kallis is an allrounder, so he'll get a bowl and can make up for loss of points on those rare occasions that he fails.

I guess that 360-370 might be a bit optomistic, but they should really be looking 340+ with this start. With people like Gibbs, Bosman, Boucher and Pollock still to come, then I don't see why 8r/o should be possible.

South Africa seem like they're waiting for the last PowerPlay to be taken here - it'd be interesting if Lara played on that fact and did something really brave like saving it for overs 45-50...

8 an over from here would still only get them about 315.

To get 340, they'd need about 9.5 per over. Not out of the question I suppose, but I still think the score will be closer to 320..

Hmm, I think I have under estimated the RR needed to get that sort of score. I was rather suggesting that if you are only one wicket down in the 32nd over, then you should be looking at a 350+ score, not specific to this situation.
