But if he (a person whose CW behaviour is worse than your's (to paraphrase you)) has stopped it, why can't you (a person who has shown better behaviour) do the same?

(Remarks in brackets aren't mine (except "(to paraphrase you)")
Because it's not a case of stopping IMO. What has been said never goes away.

I'm simply replying to what people post. I have nothing I feel I need to take higher. If someone wants to close this thread, that's up to them, but I shall respond to people who respond to me.

I'd prefer discuss this off forum, but I'm not going to leave this stuff unsaid.
I am not speaking about the current discussion but your constant go at Piscine. That serves no purpose and harms forum atmosphere. If you have a problem with some one, take it up with James rather than constantly having a go at the person.

It's possible to avoid that without using ignore-lists which are sweeping generalisations.
But if someone is unwilling to let something go then surely the ignore-list comes in handy for the forum because it just stops it happening.

As I say - it's not, from my view, a case of having a go or taking up anything. It's just pushing one point - as a counter to his pushing of what I'm pushing against.

Such pushing of point adds nothing to the forum atmosphere in my mind. You should either push such points off forum emailing Piscine, talking with James or ignoring Piscine here on the forum. Whatever means, the forum certainly doesn't require such stuff in my opinion. Again, if you had loads of problem earlier, you should have reported posts more than any thing.

If x tells me some thing and I start telling him a lot more things and every one starts doing it, all hell will break lose on the forum. Not needed.

Presumebly though, insults as severe (if not more, in the case of EXD) would have a similair effect on him? You are both humans, after all.

Piscine is a good bloke to most and you have just insulted him with derogatory terms while he has stopped "Motson" is hardly an insult some may even take it as a compliment.

I certainly doubt they have any effect on him - ask him, since you're on such good terms with him.

Rodgie, sometimes I don't mind you posting despite being in over your head but it really isn't appropriate here, I'm afraid.

Reporting posts won't do any good, he's not broken any rules.

OK, P, just for you I'll see what I can do - don't expect miracles, mind. Anyway - let's just the two of us discuss this on MSN next time our paths cross, yeah?

How isn't it appropriate? I have seen this go on for too long for my liking and Craig is getting sick of it you follow him to every thread he posts in and try multiple "put downs" he tries one and you get sick of it he is giving you 1/3 of the treatment you give him.

Really? Wow. I think the consensus is that he's not as good as he used to be, but I don't know anyone who dislikes him & I know a lot of football fans.
I think Motson's pretty dire, especially when he's commentating on the World Cup. I still listen to him though, but more to laugh at him saying stupid things than anything.

Rodgie, with all due respect, what's to your liking isn't really important.
