Can't believe people still blame Pietersen when Vaughan's in the team. The CAPTAIN is a passenger. Doesn't that bother you? If half of England's top order made as many runs as Pietersen, generally, they'd be the best team in the world.

He got out to a damn good ball from a damn good bowler.

I can't wait to see Nixon and Flintoff and Bopara face Murali.
My point is he gets in when going well, even he's admitted it's a fault.

Yes the fact we have such a crap lower middle-order, does make his getting out all the more annoying, as the ball will not go down as one of Muralis best.

Still at least Manure are losing:huh:

surprising jay isn't using spin from both sides. england have had hard time playing spin. if spin would have been on from both side the run rate would have increased more for england.

He has middled everything since he got out there. We are behind but it could happen. Need Flintoff to step up though.
Collingwood without a doubt has the ability to win this game for England.

Flintoff needs to hang around for 5 or 6 overs, then he will be settled.

Still think England SHOULD win this

At the moment Bell (who makes starts and gets out admittedly but is still consistently getting runs), KP and Colly are all firing. Noone else is however and this is a major worry. Vaughan should retire from ODIs after the WC imo. Stick to tests where his class is undoubted.

I'll do that gladly.

Doesn't mean it'll happen. Flintoff won't last an over against Murali, we all know it. Nixon, Bopara and Mahmood thus need to make 50 runs together. Not happening.
Nope. SL have got exactly what they needed - enough overs for Murali to clean up against guys who won't have the first clue how to play him. Ah well, if we will insist on going in with 3 decent oneday batsmen ...
