Would the X1 for NZ today be...

Stephen Fleming
Peter Fulton
Hamish Marshall
Scott Styris (just found out he was born in Australia )
Craig McMillan
Jacob Oram
Brendon McCullum
Daniel Vettori
James Franklin
Shane Bond
Chris Martin/Jeetan Patel

Loony BoB

International Captain
Wouldn't expect Martin to play. Mason surely ahead of him in the order of preference. Patel to play if there's spin, Mason to play if not. If either is not fit to play, the other will play ahead of Martin, I'd expect.

Any promising seamers in NZ?.Seems like alot of potential in the batting department but what about the bowling.Warren McSkimming any good?.Only reason I'm asking because he played in the SNL (Scottish National League).

NZ aren't that good...8-)
I never said they were, did I? Just that they'd win by plenty. Results and margins don't always go according to how good a side is.

I really don't rate the West Indies really. They lack depth in their bowling - Powell is inconsistent and while Taylor and Collymore are good bowlers, they lack a genuine 4th bowler for mine, and no number of good fifth bowling options can really make up for that.

No,but I'd he shocked TBH if NZ really give the Windies a good hiding.Suppose you have a fair enough point about how results don't go according to how good a side is.

Norwood's on Fire
I've never felt like such a softy then when I went to sleep at the half-way mark of last night's game, woke up and read about the finish.
Just watched the replay of the South Africa v Sri Lanka match now, incredible ending. Wish I stayed up tbh.
Well I had a few things to do last night but I flicked the SA-SL game on, and thought, if it's close I'll sit and watch the end. Saw that SA were 5 down with 20-30 runs needed, and thought, ah, I'll go do what I've got to do. Needless to say, this was a foolish decision

For 95 overs South Africa were by far the dominated side, even Mahela and Lasith conceded that Sri Lanka never did enough to deserve victory. South Africa’s collapse takes the gloss of what was for 95 overs a relative stroll in the park in testing conditions.
klipkop :|

SL was TOLD for more than 3/4 of the game and you think they deserve the win more  you crackpot

These are exactly the reasons why we don't deserve to win IMO. We dominate or are ahead until the last few overs, then we choke! The day we learn to finish off an innings in the manner we conducted it, that's when we deserve to win.
But that's just how I feel. Instead of being elated by a win when it's over, I feel relieved.
I want to dance and shout when it's over. Not say thank you, thank you and then pull the covers over my head!
But that's just the way I feel.:)
BW TazzX klipkop was a nice touch!

Well Stephen Fleming has won the toss and New Zealand will bowl first. Fingers crossed the weather is good.

"Team changes Lendl Simmons comes in for Jerome Taylor."

Surprised with that change, even with Taylor's form with the ball. However, beefing up the batting is as sensible move and Lara should be at three for me.

Yeah I agree. Lara at 5 is inexplicable really.
