Quality stuff, looking to get a solid start and sort out some of our selection queries before the real deal begins.

Honoured to share the field with the big policeman.

Between the Camps-Fuller games and swim trunks, you've got 3 days to learn to bat and swim.
Harsh but fair.

I liking Crampton's suggestion of a pedalo though I'm thinking banana boat may be my choice of transport. Fun for everyone....until Fuller pops it for being too bright and actually fun.

May-Quinlan electrifies Dome audience
Cricket Web Blue Preseason Cricket

James May-Quinlan announced himself in Blue colours in resounding fashion, lighting up the PDV Dome with bat and ball in a confident win by the Camps XI. In arriving at the crease with the score 220-7, May-Quinlan only had two balls to make an impact. But he did so with immense power, smacking two towering sixes off fast bowler Ryan Dunn and advancing the total to 232-7.

Mamesh and Camps added 84 earlier on to lay the foundations with a solid opening stand. The spin of Gooljar and Hauritz then pegged things back for the Fuller XI. Both bowled with intelligence and economy, and Robert Cribb joined in later with an economical spell of his own. Shane Lee and Geraint Jones tried to add urgency to the innings, but it was the 20-run final over that really infused the Camps XI with confidence.

A reasonable start to the chase was quickly undone, and Callum McKern dismissed both Young and Cribb in an impressive new ball spell. But the real damage came from May-Quinlan. The uncapped youngster regularly touched on 93 miles-per-hour, showing impressive control as well. He was first rewarded with the wicket of Bray in his 4th over, then accounted for Brendan Goff and Alex Crampton for ducks an over later.

Wickets continued to tumble at a disturbing rate. Only 4 bowlers were needed by the Camps XI, and each was among the wickets. Fuller XI scrambled to 92 all out.

Camps XI 232-7 (50 overs)
LA Camps 45, T Mamesh 41, GO Jones 31
NM Hauritz 2-30, GS Gooljar 2-37

Fuller XI 92 all out (25 overs)
PE Young 24, RGEWS Cribb 15
CD McKern 3-23, JP May-Quinlan 3-24

Camps XI won by 140 runs.

Oh dear. Not a great start from myself.

Awesome from the rookie though, big statement made before the new season.

Fuller is not very good :(

Glad I took a couple of wickets in a one day match. Pity I didn't get a bat,... reckon I would've pulled two big dorothies from two balls out of my arse, too :)

Jammy looks like he likes one dayers....
