ok,ok....but liam didnt say anything when i said i was available.
To sign you we would have pay the 5-point fee, which Blue is willing to pay, but I need to know what length of contract you're interested in.

Alex, I also need to know what kind of deal you want.

We need to sign 2 cheap players now to make our 15. I considered signing Callum Thompson, but we couldn't sign him and DeSilva, so I opted for DeSilva. Gooljar is due to sign in tomorrow and I should get him to sign on after that. Then we have 2 points to play with.

The basic squad is finalized:

LA Camps (c) [cc 5 seasons/5 points], SE Fuller [5/5], BL Wilshere [2/4], MJC Currie [3/3], AAA Collins [5/4], T Mamesh [cc 2/5], PE Young [5/5], CD McKern [2/2], RD Dunn [2/1], TJ Demeza [5/4], A Crampton [sc 3/4], BJ Goff [5/5], MW DeSilva [cc opt 5/9], RGEWS Cribb [3/3], GS Gooljar [2/1]

My ideas on the first XI:

5D
T Mamesh
PE Young
BJ Goff
MW DeSilva
SE Fuller (vc)
LA Camps (c)
A Crampton (wk)
MJC Currie
AAA Collins
RD Dunn/CD McKern/GS Gooljar/a rookie
TJ Demeza

There's also the option of playing one of Cribb or Wilshere as an extra batsman instead of a 3 specialist seamer.

OD
RGEWS Cribb/PE Young
LA Camps (c)
BJ Goff
MW DeSilva
SE Fuller (vc)
T Mamesh
A Crampton (wk)
BL Wilshere
MJC Currie
RD Dunn
CD McKern/TJ Demeza/AAA Collins/GS Gooljar/a rookie

I'm thinking we can afford to play a really deep batting lineup, given the abilities of Fuller and Camps with the ball.

I'm happy to permanently give up my one day commitments such that someone else gets a fair go. The team looks outstanding.

That FC team looks so mean. So so mean. I'm excited.

both line ups looks good but dont u think thambas abilities are wasted down the order in OD...he's not really the slogger type like wilshere is he? he can be more usefull up the order me thinks.

Don't really mind if my OD opportunities are limited, so long as I'm not shafted from the FC lineup. Batting looks really solid, particularly with the addition of Mamesh at the top of the order. I guess the difficulty as always will be how well we do when the internationals are away, but it looks as though we have a bit more depth this season.

Mamesh actually has a crazy FC strike rate .... very aggressive opener.

Wow that OD batting line-up looks strong

A couple of issues I would like to raise with Liam

1) Could I have the first C in MJC Currie removed from my name. It was just a sign up error tbh

2) I would really like to remodel my approach to batting. I intend to bat really aggresively this season, so could I have my SR increased? Or is this not possible?

I've been out for a while, but I know that this:

OD
RGEWS Cribb/PE Young
LA Camps (c)
BJ Goff
MW DeSilva
SE Fuller (vc)
T Mamesh
A Crampton (wk)
BL Wilshere
MJC Currie
RD Dunn
CD McKern/TJ Demeza/AAA Collins/GS Gooljar/a rookie
Looks like a tough line up to beat. I don't know about Mamesh (never seen him before tbh). Also good to see how deep our line up - I'm in at 8, and I'm a specialist bat. I hope to possibly move up to the 5-6 region this season in order to have more opportunities.

Also hoping to find my way into the FC side as well. I've had a few good performances in FC as well, so hopefully I'll get a chance and take it.

:)

Would love to have a shot opening the batting in ODs sometime this season. But considering im still the new kid on block, im happy if Pete or Cribb get a run ahead of me. Hopefully i can get a shot atleast when Liam away on ODI duties.

If we sign a new middle order batsmen, I've got no problems waiting for a shot playing in Grade cricket, as im pretty useless in the middle order. Considering my crapness in the middle order I did find it funny though that im listed ahead of Crampton and Wilshere, two of the best one day batsmen in the country.

Both look strong line ups, the depth in OD batting is crazy with Currie at 9. Hopefully it doesn't effect the bowling too much, but Camps and Dunn are both good One Day bowlers Also i don't think the Blues have seen the best of McKern in ODers, his gun when he gets going. FC looks looks brillant, expecting me and Pete to break a few records this season.

My FC strike rate has never translated into OD cricket, outside a couple Under 19 games. I wouldn't be surprised if my OD strike rate is in the 60s. I did have a strike rate of 90 odd in England though, so i could be improving.
