idiot-fans ? wonder who that would be ?

only-a-game ? more like a money making ponzi scheme where us fans are the goats for slaughter. Most fans, rightly, believe that protests are the only way to sen dthe message. NO ONE is threatening familes - that just a convenient myth propoagted by the players to hide behind.

Shameless and utter INCOMPETENCE is the problem.

Here's another winner:
Indian defeat delays Sreesanth's album, family upset

This guy has played a few matches and his family is upset NOT that India sucked but that his music album will be dleayed. read for yourself.

look at the mirror my friend..

Why not go one step further then, give India a direct bye to the final? 8-)
because then you wont be making any money of the spectators and the games:laugh: ... im just saying that its pretty stupid to change the format just because india's out in the 1st round...so if they go that far to change it for that reason why not just put them in a group where they'll have a better chance for the next round...

I would change the format such that while the top 8 go through the next 4 teams will play each other to enable a second chance for one of the 3rd teams to go through.

So A3 (3rd team Group A) v B 3 (3rd Team Group B)

C 3 v D 3

the winners of the 2 games meet for the winner of this game to go through into Super 9 (rather than Super 8) .

Thus ensuring that despite the shocks deserving teams will invariably have one second chance to go thru'.

yeah, no it would make the tournament even longer...so this is the one to stick to...until you add more teams ofcouse

Its not just about india, in the current format, you have one bad day and you could be pretty close to being out of the world cup. Where's in the last world cup even if you stuffed up the first match than you still had time to recover and play to your full potential.

I expected India to win both games against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. They didn't win either of them. They don't deserve to go through on that basis IMO - and they lost to both the teams that went through ahead of them, so you can whinge all you like about the format, but having a look at the performance of India (and Bangladesh, for that matter) would achieve far more IMO.

Whatever, let's just hope Bermuda win tomorrow :p.

Usually my predictions are wrong, well they have been for quite sometime... Therefore...

"I think Bangladesh is gonna' win tomorrow, I really believe in them, I think they can bounce back really strong after the SL loss"

Lol, what's with the arguing about the format? India don't deserve to go through, and as much as I'm an Indian fan, when you see the looks on the Bangladeshi players after India's loss, I think we know who deserves to go through and who doesn't.

Just pity that your predictions get wrong only bcoz you are too crazy on IND cricket. I dont think IND crickters deserve to go to next round.

Its really saddening that INDians fate is on bermuda vs Bangla match.....vry pitiable situation is india in.

I wasn't really have a whinge about the format but just saying the way it is and if there's change in format it should be because of right reasons like format not allowing teams to have one day not because they want india to go through.
Anyway i do agree with ya that Bangladesh deserve to go through, they played very well in the first match. If Bangladesh actually it wouldn't necessarily be good for indian cricket so hopefully Bangladesh go through as they deserve it.

No one here will argue that it is a stupid reason. But that does not mean it won't happen.

The format is fine BTW. The teams that went out, deserved to go out. No ifs and buts, the teams that got outplayed are the teams that are leaving.

Period.

Can't see the point in complaining about the format, like ss said none of the teams that have been eliminated deserve to go through to the Super 8's.

Format is perfect and the teams like IND and PAK...didnt play when needed and they deserved it......Format is perfect and its allowing both the teams to go home quickly than they thought before
