Unlucky..First up you are nowhere near to good performance and saying that you are unlucky......Luck and unlucky is only to chose who take each game seriously . IND no where near to professional cricket
I agree with you - what I meant was we are 'unlucky' that we keep picking Tendulkar and he keeps bombing...

this was a "must-perform-well" game for a player of his stature given the importance of the game...very disappointing last world cup game for tendulkar....as for captaincy, he has to first deserve a place in the side before being given that...this performance really calls for a major overhaul of the team, tendulkar should either be asked to retire or be dropped....
It is not only Tendulkar's fault that we are in the position that we are. I am not saying Tendulkar or some one else has to be brought as captain immediately. I just said there are options in the future and so Dravid is not undroppable as captain. Also, you would want Dravid removed as captain if you really want a major over haul like you stated in your post.

Agreed. Dravid is a GREAT batsmen but not a leader of men. It's a tough problem. I would have gotten rid of Chappell not because of WHAT he did to Ganguly but the WAY he did it. He has no respect for Indian cricketers and he should have been shot a long time ago. His lousy body language doesn not compliment Dravid's highly introverted style. I still think India made a BIG mistake by dropping VVS.

Yep. You are right. VVS should be included. Uthappa performed only in the Indian tour and he was selected to WI and he has no experience of playing in WI.

On what basis did uthappa selected.........Serious questions need to be answered when they come to home and face the media........Its gonna be another WC for Dravid when he returns to India facing the media and answering.

Now, its time for cricketers to call their houses and enquire whether their houses are safe or not!

It benefits NZ the most if Bangladesh do make it through which should happen quite easily now I should think.

Classic piece of AA batting there, as well as quality commentating.

You're right, Ganguly has to be in. So then you leave out both Karthik and Yuvraj? That's very harsh. But the question is, who to open? I say Chopra and Jaffer/Gambhir.
Jaffer and Gambhir to open. Dravid, Tendulkar, Laxman and Ganguly in the middle-order with Yuvraj ready to step in if any of the latter three fail. Dhoni to start with the gloves with Karthik ready to take over. Zaheer, Munaf, Sreesanth and Kumble in the attack.

This is the worst Indian performance in a World Cup since 1975 and credit must go to the 'processes' that were put in place by Dravid and Chappell. This team was not going to succeed as predicted by many and the obvious reason for that is majority of this team was built of mediocre players like Kumble, Sehwag, Pathan, Harbhajan, Uthappa, Agarkar, and Dhoni, Santh. And rest of the players likeTendulkar, Ganguly, Yuvraj and Dravid haven't been the match winners they once used to be.

Thank You Greg Chappell for 2 years of preparation. Now please go and try selling your Chappell Ways to some other country.

dravid is not a great captain true, but there aren't too many other options right now...other than maybe bringing back ganguly now that he has found some form(i have my doubts on how that will work out)....i know that sachin is not the only batsman in the team, but he is by far the most experienced and this kind of clutch situation should have brought out the best in him, the fact that it didn't shows not only that he is past his best(that has been evident for some time), but also that we desperately need fresh faces in the team and even a tendulkar shouldn't be "undroppable"...
