Still talking of vincent! Oh! man , please leave this, discussion is waste here. Please try to find a replacement for vincent and try to get a solution for his place rather than saying, he should be dropped

I actually don't think anyone has said he should be dropped, actually. Even th who is his harshest critic said he should be retained for now.

Read the posts before you reply to them.

Good! Thanks for your suggestion! If you gonna retain him, why talk about him and unnecessarily degrading the stature of our cricketer infront of all other country forum members.

Vincent has been brilliant for the whole season. He is definately not out of form and definately one to look out for this world cup. He can play the shots at the beginning of his innings and doesnt present as many chances as someone like Fleming does.

Yep. I am very sorry to say thisbut could not stop saying. Our opening pair are very tentative starters of the game. I donno how they are gonna fare against the top class bowling attack. Luckily, this time we have a good middle and lower order to support!

Geez, I've gone through the past 5-6 pages full with people criticising Lou Vincent's batting style. Granted, he is a very streaky player, that does look prone to getting out every ball, and yes he can be quite an ugly player sometimes, but recently he has been getting the job done. That's all that really matters at the moment.

In fact, there's only one person in the NZ side that I don't like. If you take thierry's opinions of Vincent as a reckless slogger, ugly/streaky player, underachieving early career, relatively poor mid-to-high 20's average, as well as looking like he's getting out every ball-multiply that by 2-and you have Craig McMillan. It's also not like his medium-pace is that important to the team anyway. And unlike the problem with Vincent, there is an obvious replacement: Peter Fulton.

Has th even mentioned McMillan?

Until you know his thoughts on him, don't go shouting your mouth off.

Ive always been a supporter of Vincent. He has a lot of talent but is prone to premeditating shots.. An important thing to remember though is that he is only 28... He probably has 6 or 7 years left as an international batsman.

I think he will calm down a little bit with his batting and go on to be one of our better batsmen... his average will( finally) get up over 30 and he will be a fixture in the NZ side for a good while...

I would like that. At the moment it looks like he might challenge Paul Wiseman for the highest number of times a New Zealand player has been dropped and recalled.

Chris Martin is going to replace Tuffey. I think Martin should have been there ahead of Tuffey in the first place anyway.

yeah i probably would have picked martin ahead of tuffey too. he can't do much worse then tuffey has been going anyway.

Well think about it...Tuffey had been out for a year and a half, had played about 5 or 6 games for Northern Districts and had taken something like 4 wickets. On the other hand, Martin has been on fire all season and is definately a yard quicker than Tuffey..it just didn't make any sense. I think it's a blessing in disguise that Martin is going over.

It wouldn't make any sense to replace Tuffey with Harris either as they really need to swap a quick for a quick..if Gillespie is ruled out on sunday they may look at Harris, im not sure.
