Group B - Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh, Bermuda

Sorry, wrong quote!
QUOTE]

thats quite a crap reason to stop supporting india TBH! C'mon man.....we indian fans have to stick behind their team even when they play badly! Bangladesh have been playing badly for many years and they did once again against SL; so r u saying that if (by chance) bangladesh got to the final against SL, all bangladeshi fans should support SL because SL played better in a group stage match? ::blink:

Today's match was sad, sad, sad !!!!!

Seemed like the ghost of the old team had come and taken over the new team !!!!!

The bowlers were eek! And the fielders (barring Aftab and Ashraful) were pretty terrible !

I expected the Lankans to pummel the Banglas but didn't expect them to come down so hard :boxed:!

Oh and I hate Malinga's action !

Jayasuriya is the ultimate villain in any bowler's tale :p!

Sri Lanka is too good. I put my money on them to beat India. Why?

Because the Lankans' bowling, fielding and batting is too strong and they rely much on team effort as it seems in this WC :)!

A definite contender for the cup in my book !!!!!
Back to reality for the Bangla boys. After all thatwhat they were .... just boys, Playing with men. SL just played smart cricket. Bangladesh fans will have to wait another 3 -6 months for another win against the Top 6 teams.

However give Bangladesh another 10 years they will be able to match the top teams.

Just on record - I want India to lose against SL. Although an Indian fan, I am rooting for Bangladesh because they were the better team when we played them and because Indian team is full of players who are there because of their past reputation and not because of their recent performances and lastly because it will most likely end the coaching reign of Sri Greg Kumar Chappel Ji and Captaincy of Mr. Rahul Dravid.

Go SriLanka, Bangladesh.
i meant this quote!

In all honesty, I wouldn't quite say that but I do agree with you on the fact that it'd take a few more years for BD cricket to rise (10 is a little too much ).

As for boys vs. men, that si true, not just ironically agewise, but also because they lose their cool way to easily. Just having one or two players staying steady all the time makes no difference while the rest nine-ten fail !

Another five years at least until the great gap is closed. As of now, I'd say Bangladesh is not a minnow but neither are they in the league of the Big 8.

Why I say that I would justify later as this team is yet to convince me enough to stick to that quote I made .

As for the game tomorrow, this Indian team looks pretty volatile and even though the batting lineup is pretty darn strong and played really very good against Bermuda, against Sri Lanka, it is a whole different story with the likes of Vaas, Murali and then Malinga constantly firing in at the 140 mph mark.

But we can expect anything from the batting lineup, so it would be dumb to under-estimate them just yet :).

However the bowling remains a big grey area for the Indians considering the fact that Bangladesh hammered them (tbh, the BD lineup has good batsmen who if not scared {I'm dead sure they were terrified facing SL for some stranger reason } can play good cool cricket), and then restricted Bermuda to 156 or 158, they would have to do much better against the in-form super Sri Lankan team!

Should be a good match if not one-sided !!!!!

You realize your precious I$C$C could lose alot of $$ if India get out early.
well, yeah but thats not the concern. the concern is that the WI might going into deeper debt. Also the next world cup might not consider this format fearing they might lose money the same way which will be a shame because its a very very good format. Also my precious ICC? no, i back them in their developing program because they are doing ok there. But they won't be effect by it because all the money goes to the teams anyways.(including the ones not are not playing in it) And cricket cant be dependent on india, thats why it needs fan base globally and not just in india.

(as a Sri Lankan) I hope SL do not lose by a big margin, even if they lose. Otherwise Bangladesh could still go through .

Ideal scenario would be SL lose by only 1 - 10 runs or 1-2 wickets with 1 over to spare or less.

well, thats a pretty bad reason to lose...cricket/world cup needs to be stronger than just india and i think it is. indian fans needs to learn to accept failures and still support their team. cricket isn't india but india is all about cricket and thats good but cricket cant depend on india or any other country thats why globalism is a good thing

Thats what Indian cricketers should do to ! Just pray god that Vaas, Murali, Jaya, Sangakkara...and others have a bad day!

TIG- Trust in God!

But I am wondering from where Indian can snatch the victory! For me , SRL will win it. Being a NZ supporter, I would love SRL to win.

Indian Supporters, Keep your fingers crossed
