.....

Today's match was sad, sad, sad !!!!!

Seemed like the ghost of the old team had come and taken over the new team !!!!!

The bowlers were eek! And the fielders (barring Aftab and Ashraful) were pretty terrible !

I expected the Lankans to pummel the Banglas but didn't expect them to come down so hard :boxed:!

Oh and I hate Malinga's action !

Jayasuriya is the ultimate villain in any bowler's tale :p!

Sri Lanka is too good. I put my money on them to beat India. Why?

Because the Lankans' bowling, fielding and batting is too strong and they rely much on team effort as it seems in this WC :)!

A definite contender for the cup in my book !!!!!

So if Bangladesh hammer Bermuda by loads, and India get trashed by SL, then the Bangladesh go through?
The large Sri Lankan win over Bangladesh did India plenty of favours, mind you in the end, as mentioned here, they still have to beat India. But what is in India's favour is their fete is in their own hands, whereas Bangladesh must sweat on Friday's result.

Agarkar seems to have real issues with his action at the moment. His feet alignment seem to point down towards fine leg, closing his shoulders off to the batsman and not letting him get his natural outswinger happening.

i really hope india loses to sri lanka :) ...come on what else could you indians what anyway? you have a trophy ,you have millions of dollars more than any other cricket board, and you guys went to the final last time...so let us have a chance now.... :)

i was hoping bd beat sri lanka though so india and bd could go but that didn't even come closes to happening....the thing that sri lanka took adantage of was bangladeh having only five bowlers...but good to see jaysuriya getting a century again...

Just on record - I want India to lose against SL. Although an Indian fan, I am rooting for Bangladesh because they were the better team when we played them and because Indian team is full of players who are there because of their past reputation and not because of their recent performances and lastly because it will most likely end the coaching reign of Sri Greg Kumar Chappel Ji and Captaincy of Mr. Rahul Dravid.

Go SriLanka, Bangladesh.

I was prepeared for this, but the team think tank is confusing me, your doing nobody favors batting Ash @ 7.

I don't like Greg or Dravid as captain anymore than you do but seriously thats no reason to hope india loses.

Well which one of the top order would you have batted at 7?

Aftab I suppose.
Did you see Rahim playing as if it was a Test? Granted Dilshan took a blinder 6(32) just puts too much pressure on the middle order. At least Aftab played some shots and holed out

I still have great hopes from Indian team, i'm pinning my hopes of guys like Ganguly,Yuvraj and Dhoni to deliver the goods in do or die match and take India to super eight stage .I think without India, super eight stage will loose some of its charm.

GO India GO!!

Rahim is there to bat through the innings and hold it together. When your bowlers bowl puss and Bangladesh are set a huge total, it doesn't work very well, but he's good at #3 in ODIs IMO, especially if you're going to open the batting with Tamim.

Not Terrible
Wow, from the first two matches all the Sri Lankan bowlers (bar Jayasuriya's 2 overs) are striking at under 20.

Arnold: 17.00 (3 overs, 1 W)
Dilshan: 12.00 (3 overs, 1 W)

Maharoof: 9.80 (14 overs. 5 W)
Vaas: 11.00 (13 overs. 2 W)
Murali: 7.67 (16 overs. 3 W )
Malinga: 6.17 (11 overs. 6 W )

Against Bang and Ber maybe, but still, thats just impressive.

According to my calculations anyway.
