Haha Gelman. Fremantle at 6, Cats at 2nd and Roos 14th. Will look good if it works out though.
Yeah, going on gut tbh. So much changes even after round one, especially after round one that is. It's nearly impossible to predict these teams, especially Collingwood and Melbourne who have gun years one year and crap years the next. After the first few rounds things become much clearer though.

That's the final list. Same as last year with submission etc.

With Lloyd and Johns in the forward line, I would like to see Lucas play accross half back this year, he wins most of the contests he gets to and his big left boot could be a real asset going forward.

Johns was decent in patches when he wasn't injured.
He was also Essendon's only decent big man up forward with Lloyd being out injured...
He has kicked 50 + goals in 4-5, Johns needs to step up if he wants to stay on the list. So underrated by many. He's as valuable to Essendon as Neitz is too Melbourne.

We dont need Lucas at CHB, maybe last yeaar but not this. I actually think Fletch will be very very good at CHB. Not totally convinced on big Mal just yet..

I'll give you that. Depends if he gets his head right, TBH.
Winderlich
Thirty odd games in 5 seasons. Mark Bolton much?
He's got a bit of toe, but gets too many of his kicks deep in the backline Peter Bell-at-Fremantle style, and doesn't break lines.
He's OK, Essendon fans have a tendency to overrate him.
Dyson is hardly slow.
Problem is that he's hardly that great, either.

Havent watched Essendon this pre-season have you Jack?
Haven't watched a game of pre-season football. There's nothing to be gained out of pre-season, have a look at the best sides and how they approach it. Geelong's trying to look quick and speedy, but come the increase in intensity and class of Round 1, that's when you'll see how game plans and players will perform.
