*Official* English Football Season 2006-07

That's quite indicative of the amount of football you watch then because Steven Gerrard has 'earned' two penalties this season by diving. Also anyone care to remember the England game against Hungary (I believe), where his dive was so bad that all the stick he got from the likes of Terry Butcher was fully deserved. If you going dive at least copy the likes of Joe Cole and Andy Johnson, who have the art form down to a tee, so much so that Roseboy has never seen them dive.
I meant the first three highlighted.......

Some might be, and a lot of people don't seem to know the rules regarding what a foul actually is so a lot of people are accused of diving when in actual fact they were fouled.

That doesn't make the Johnson situation any different though.

P.S. not sure how your comment related to the thing you quoted.

The worse dive I have seen was from Vitor Baia for Porto v Celtic in the 02/03 UEFA Cup Final, lost all respect for him and the club after that.

**** off was he tripped, he should have been booked for that. Sometimes I wonder if Portugal's footballers are the softest in the game.

On another matter, 2-10 month bans possible in the Valencia - Inter brawl - http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/mar13g.html

That's crap, because Rio Ferdinand got 8 months for missing a drugs test and David Navarro can face up to 10 months for a punch. As cowardly as that is, what's worse? A missed drugs test or a punch in the face? I would say the former.

Never really seen the first three dive and you must be smoking something to even consider Neville. I won't grace that comment with anything else. Apart from that game against Arsenal you mentioned I've not seen Rooney dive. Johnson has rarely if ever dived IMO and has won his penalties fairly. Haven't seen Beckham dive but haven't wathced him as much as the others.

FA Cup 5th Round, Feb 14th, 2005, Man U V Man City. Neville dives in the United box, bangs his fists like a girl because nothing is given and then ends up headbutting Steve McManaman and getting a red. He's smoking nothing.

8 months for the missed drugs test was harsh in the first place because that's actually longer than several people who actually tested positive for various substances.

Mourinho will be pleased, remarked over the weekend that he was extremely worried about Navarro and said he did not know how Chelsea would deal with his pace.

Say what you will about José but his an extremely witty individual.

I didn't think Navarro was really ever that good. I guess his chances improved when Edu got ruled out with his knee injury, seriously that guy has a curse against him

Dave Nugent for England?, I didn't think the stocks were that low...

Anyone ever look through the history of Wikipedia articles like that of Navarro? Some amusing stuff in there.

Most ridicilous comment ever TBH.Have you ever actually watched a game of football or seen the penalties that are given to Andy Johnson?.Deco IMO is the worst by a mile.Jose starts saying it and now everyone believes Andy Johnson's a cheat.Disgraceful...8-)
I've been watching football since 1994, I've been to more than 10 Premiership matches and met numerous international players. Yes, I've seen a game of football, and yes, Andy Johnson does dive.

I also happen to have seen him play live. Incidentally, in that game he dived and won a penalty for Crystal Palace, which he then proceeded to miss.

Jose Mourinho did not start it. Andy Johnson had a reputation as a diver at Crystal Palace, before Mourinho ever knew who he was, in all likelihood.

Roeder knocks Newcastle out of Europe. Negative tactics with a team that can't defend, not a good idea. Just to make it worse he brings Emre on, who single-handedly wastes all the dead ball opportunities towards the end.

Werder Bremen for me though Spurs also do have a good chance.

Was great to see the Toon get knocked out and we should expect Steven Taylor and Nicky Butt to be hearing from UEFA anytime soon about their conduct in the game. But any ban which they will receive won't make a rats ass difference unless Newcastle persist in starting their season five weeks early again (or earlier).
