He was the guy that got sent off for shoving an elbow into an American face right?Nah, world-class as far as I'm concerned, showed it at the World Cup.

Yep, Mcbride as well. The ****He was the guy that got sent off for shoving an elbow into an American face right?
Yeah. Roma have a lot of players with tempers actually, what with him, Totti, Mexes and the like. Wnding them up could prove fruitful, shame we don't have a Keane or someone any more.He was the guy that got sent off for shoving an elbow into an American face right?
Don't know if i'd term Pirlo, Xavi, Xabi & Fabregas holding mid-fielders TBH, they are more so deep lying playmakers since they achor their respectives sides play rather than break up opposition attacks.Vieira is still a good player but defenitely isn't the force of 2-3 years ago when I watch him in the CL.He IMO doesn't rank up with the best there is.I'd much rather rely on these men to deliver a more effective performance.Cambiasso I appeciate is a very good player but there are many still better than him IMO.
Andrea Pirlo
Xabi Alonso
Mohammed Sissoko
Claude Makelele
Xavi
Owen Hargreaves
Cesc Fabregas
His chances of returning to the national side are clearly not that low, especially if he can return from injury & put in good performances in the last phase of his Madrid career.Beckham had as much chance of being picked in the England squad as Ireland have of winning the Cricket World Cup.
That really is a harsh and stupid statement.Hell I'd much rather be in Barcelona's position than Madrid's.They have they're weaknesses but are still way ahead of Madrid IMO.I'd be surprised to say the least if Barca in the next 1-2 years fall away as bad as Madrid did. They're turning into the Real Madrid of the last few seasons.
Fabregas I would hardly say is a holding midfielder, and neither is Xavi, and Hargreaves, are you jumping on the bandwagon before when the majority of English fans thought he was rubbish and now the flavour of the month?Vieira is still a good player but defenitely isn't the force of 2-3 years ago when I watch him in the CL.He IMO doesn't rank up with the best there is.I'd much rather rely on these men to deliver a more effective performance.Cambiasso I appeciate is a very good player but there are many still better than him IMO.

**** off. You can't use one season in Europe as an example of how "brilliant" the Premiership is. Just look at last year, for example.Been best league in Europe for a fair while now IMO. Anyway, as has been said, the draw makes an all-English final a distinct possibility, the only way that works though is if we're one of them. And if we are, I distinctly hope it's the Scousers, we have the wood on them.
and Hargreaves, are you jumping on the bandwagon before when the majority of English fans thought he was rubbish and now the flavour of the month?
Did you pay attention to his WC performances?.While all the other England players were absolute garbage Hargreaves was the one with energy, drive and commitment. The majority of England fans thought he was "rubbish" because he was used so sparingly in meaningless friendly matches with 10-15 minutes to go and they would judge him on those performances. When he evantually got a run of games he proved what a very good player he is.When Hargreaves returns to the starting X1 against Israel it will make a huge difference IMO as Lampard should then be resigned to the bench.
Last year in the first knockout you had 3 Spanish teams said:IMO there is no real way in proving that one league is "better" than the other. Every league has it's strengths and weaknesses. It's a pointless and worthless arguement.
And they are all played at different paces as well. At the moment I watch a lot of Spanish football, because the times are pretty good for me. Although I hate the standard of ref's there, IMO it is shocking.IMO there is no real way in proving that one league is "better" than the other. I don't like La Liga either.Apart from the referees who are a disgrace and send off a player for breathing the time wasting, diving and general bad sportsmanship of La Liga make it a turn off IMO.Much rather watch a game played at high pace with good fair tackles like the Premiership. However with the introduction of so many foreingers the EPL is starting to get La Liga's bad points incoorperated into games. And they are all played at different paces as well.
