Why are you basing everything on one or two performances?
Why, isn't your last performance a pretty good indicator of your abilities or current form??Why are you basing everything on one or two performances?
The team that wins the world cup will be the one in good form currently, not a team that was good half a season back and are out of form now. Form counts for everything. If the cup was awarded for abilities then India should have have won at least once more. You should consider both. You only seem to pick out the bad ones to prove your point.
Yes it is the abilities of the current squad in current conditions that count. The world cup is not a dog show where pedigrees are awarded.Sorry, my bad
sack the entire Sri Lankan attack because a practice match is infinitely more significant than years of performances in real games
Haha was just about to say that.Sure. I suppose you would call the Indian pace attack legendary in that case, seeing as they rolled over the WI for 85 just yesterday.
Haha owned!I know I said I wouldn't bother anymore, but seeing that I just have to point this out....notice a certain name at Number 5 in the ODI bowling rankings?
I would, if I considered the West Indies as quality opposition in the first place. And secondly you also have to consider the way they were dismissed.Sure. I suppose you would call the Indian pace attack legendary in that case, seeing as they rolled over the WI for 85 just yesterday.
I made that statement without going on all websites to check the rankings.I know I said I wouldn't bother anymore, but seeing that I just have to point this out....notice a certain name at Number 5 in the ODI bowling rankings?
Gillespie is hardly proven, but he's shown potential. And don't forget Kyle Mills, he has made some big improvements over the last 18 months. Jeetan Patel hasn't exactly let down New Zealand when he's played either.I'd hardly say NZ have a better attack than India.Apart from Bond and Vettori the rest of their bowling is distinctly average. The likes of Tuffey,Gillespie,Adams,Oram and Mason are all pretty poor bowlers IMO where as India have alot of decent one day bowlers in Zaheer,Patel,Harbhajan,Kumble and Pathan.
Haha. Is every crap poster BLE by default these days?BLE?
Just putting it out there.
Any serious list would have the following bowlers(list below is not in any order)I know I said I wouldn't bother anymore, but seeing that I just have to point this out....notice a certain name at Number 5 in the ODI bowling rankings?

Actually, it seems that you're in the wrong subforum and suddenly changed the subject for no (well, there is some) reason. This is a WC thread and we have all been discussing ODI bowling attacks. Where the hell did test rankings come from? By the way, I did watch the Ashes but I don't feel the need to go around shouting about having followed Indian cricket or English cricket for so-and-so many years to get people to buy my arguments.Yes Harmison, this is a general top ten list not specific to test or ODI bowlers. I have seen Harmison in the recent Ashes and even though he did not fare well he is much better than a Vaas.
It seems that you don't seem to follow the English tour much.
I did not say test ranking I said a general ranking not specific to ODI or test.Where the hell did test rankings come from?
Firstly, no one is shouting, my text is in lower case.By the way, I did watch the Ashes but I don't feel the need to go around shouting about having followed Indian cricket for so-and-so many years to get people to buy my arguments.
