The match between Kenya and the Netherlands sounded like a really good contest. Pity it wasn't on TV. The minnows matches are a competition within a competition.

Knowing England's ablity to not turn up to ODI's - I wouldn't bet against Kenya, pushed the Windies all the way and now another solid showing - looking in good touch  (unfortuantly!)
WI will have been half-arsed against Kenya - that's a given, WI still won comfortably. Now Kenya scraped past Holland because they imploded at they end.

Kenya might well turn out to be a lot better than that, but there's nothing to worry about from their two games - or other games over the past few months.

Todays matches - A day of the big 8 most with some work to do ahead of the first match proper next week.

New Zealand v Sri Lanka @ Three Ws Oval
India v West Indies @ The Trelawney Stadium
Australia v England @ Arnos Vale Ground

NZ to beat SL in a close one, IMO.
Yeah I would guess on paper the top three matches will all be pretty tight games, the Pakistan v SA game I think SA will win pretty comfortably unless Pakistan bat first and get big runs.

I think South Africa have shown that they know how to chase. And Pakistan's biggest weakness is theoretically the bowling attack, so why would you presume them capable of defending any target against a team like SA?

Sorry Liam think we got our wires crossed - I completly agree with you what I was implying was the only way Pakistan stand any chance of making a game of it is if they score 300 and the SA team throw some wickets away etc

The other day Punter said that he would probably try to find the best possible bowling combination for the WC through the warmup game against England, so it would be interesting to see how he manages his bowlers.

Would be nice to see Gilly back in action today.

But Hogg is a big concern for me he has been going on like a broken record that "atm he is bowling the best he has ever done" but in the last 6 games he has gone wicketless.
