Red secures allrounder's services
Callum Thompson, the right-armed allrounder with four seasons of service to CW Black, has signed a two-year B-level deal with Cricket Web Red following his departure from Black due to salary cap pressures. Thompson has played 63 first class games for Black and Cricket Web 'A', with five first-class centuries and two five-wicket-hauls on his way to 183 wickets. The signature is likely to boost the lower order of Cricket Web Red following the many offseason departures.

Despite a quarter long suspension, paceman Nick Borcich has re-signed with the club he led to the Ramprakash trophy in Season XI. Nick confirmed he'd be staying at CW Black for at least another two seasons.

CW Black today completed their contracts when they signed club stalwart Alex Blackman. Despite his half-season ban for misconduct, Black have put faith in their top order batsman to come through with the goods in the back end of the season. "CW Black isn't right without him" said captain Dan Smith.
"Our squad's complete now bar the young fella's and I'm very confident everyone will play their part in our defence of both titles."
