Obviously this loss to Bangladesh isn't much of a concern, but still, it's great for them and cricket in general. I reckon Bangladesh will most definitely be a powerful side in the future - this is a little teaser.

Gotta laugh at that idiot Scaly. Seriously dude, why don't you just put "I hate New Zealanders" in your sig and be done with it?

It's easy to write these warm-ups off but I do see it as a bit of a concern actually. I never like to see them lose any game, warm-up or not, and they would/should have been trying to win. Without wanting to take any credit away from Bangladesh, to lose to them in a warm-up game is a bit of a kick in the butt for the Black Caps. Hope the boys wake up to themselves after this result and stop resting on the laurels of the Chappell Hadlee results.

It was a good win for the aussies yesterday, scoring 290 runs with Clarke getting 82 and Watson making 81 runs with the bat.

Aussie eventually won by 106 runs but their bowling was far from convincing, they weren't able to bowl out ZIM (they ended up with 184-7 of 50 overs), Hogg was the most disappointing bowler on show going for 8-0-36-0. The rest of the bowlers were ok but we should have bowled out ZIM.

Shocking result for the Kiwi's yesterday, great win for the BANG's and it would do a lot of good to their morale.

I seriously believe BANG are a big threat to India in Group A because if they beat India, they would more or less be in the Super 8's since i don't expect Lankans to loss in the group stages.

Easy wins for Pak and Ind yesterday, RTD's Michelle was the only positive for the Dutch.

Great result for Bangladesh but if anything it could ruin their chances of catching India or Sri Lanka off guard.

Hard to really comment on the match itself as we didn't see it. All it really tells us is that Bangladesh aren't the easy beats they once were. Sure they will still have their bad days but I think they will also have a lot more good ones from here on in.

I would say that we tried to post a big score batting first and got caught out by the conditions a bit. I don't think we will win too many games batting first at this WC though.

Oh and Scaly - Do you want to be friends?

Nice stuff from Bangladesh. Not quite the same as winning a WC match, but it does indicate that they're not going to be total pushovers.

Dammit Watto, get a hundred :@
Agreed, he's getting there slowly. 81 would be his highest score in Australian colours would it not? Bowling figures looked decent as well

Great to see Bangladesh showing they won't be the pushover that many expect, same could be said for Canada, Holland & Ireland (all to a lesser extent than Bangladesh of course)

Pretty much agree although the last sentence might be a bit harsh on the Kiwis and Bangas

Being a "glass half full" sort of guy, I'd say the biggest thing to come out of today was Oram's fitness.

Good knock from Pup yesterday i think he would be real important player for Aussies to do well at this WC, good to see him bat at no.4 it gives him time to settle down and play a big knock.

There is no dissapoitment in this. This is not an official ODI. It is just a LIST-A match. The embarrasement for an IND fan is more considering that it is onlt test playing nation to lose both to KEN and BAN,

dubious record from the team which has got three players who scored more than 10,000 runs.
Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe are 2 other test playing nations to lose to both Kenya and Bangladesh

Wow, reading through the thread, I got the initial impression that Mortaza hit two sixes off the final two balls for victory, but it looks like that was the second last over. Still great win for Bangladesh, regardless of whether it's a practice match. It would be great if they could continue to improve and lodge the odd victory against the top sides.

Awesome stuff from Bangladesh, group B looks like it'll be the most exciting one at this stage. Nice stuff from Clarke and Watson as well.

And RTD - 5 wickets, what a gun.
