Chelsea have purchased a fair amount of young talent (approx. 16 year olds) from around the world over the past years.

I have no idea. Depends on how good they really are, I'd imagine.

Interesting that Chelsea state that they are spending less on wages than they used to be.

Excellent, United start with 4-4-2, not the 4-5-1 pap.

Come on United...
Nice 'tackle' from Scholes there too...

How the hell do professional footballers play for so long and still manage to dive in with all their weight on the foot (or two feet sometimes for good measure) that's flying in towards someone's ankle?

Scholes has never been able to tackle, so I'm not worried about that.

Slightly more worried about our inability to put 3 passes together, and about the teargassing of the United fans though...

This ref is dire. Yellows out all over the place this early. Obviously hasn't heard of a warning.

PSV-Arsenal not exactly enthralling either.

PSV sticking 9 men behind the ball every time we get possession which makes for an absolutely dog-**** spectacle. & Henry having the sort of game that gives Scaly wet dreams; labouring & (seemingly) disinterested.

Tbf I blame the old away-goals rule for that. Yes, it gives the away side an incentive to attack, but it solves one problem by creating another - the home side are paranoid of conceding the away goal and completely shut up shop. Never been a fan of it.

Strachan came out today and said that as long as Celtc didn't concede tonight at home to Milan he was happy. So basically they're planning on nicking it away in Milan.

Sounds like the FA Cup game v Blackburn all over again.

Oh and yea the away goal rule is crap they way it's implemented at the moment. It should only apply after extra time in my opinion, like the way the league cup does it for semi-finals I think.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Rooney needs to stop fannying around with chip shots/crosses etc. Hit the damn thing.

Meh then he hits a cut-back into row Z.

Well VDS has recovered, but apparently there are United fans outside the ground with genuine tickets who can't get in. Tbh it sounds like a bit of a joke.

I have to say, I'm so tired of home teams who try to play for 0-0 draws. I think away goals should only count if you score at least one goal at home in the first place.

EDIT: Rooney "hits the damn thing" and it flies over. Not sure what he's better at, to be honest (hits or chips).
