Ok, I'll give you Mills. Totally forgot about him. And he's a more essential part of the New Zealand dynamic than Oram IMO, but many will disagree with me on that.

And how bout tuff ?? hes not in the top team either.... he makes franklin and mason look A+

So u could say australia were missing 3/4 of their top players.. and NZ were missing 3....

Hard to moan about yesterday's performance but one concern for me: Scott Styris will need to lift his game if he wants to avoid being dropped. His form with both bat and ball has been disappointing since his return to the side and he should be expected to bowl more than the 4 overs he bowled yesterday.

We definitely looked a bowler short without Oram. Vincent? Please.

Yep, my jaw dropped too when he came on to bowl. I would have thought Ross Taylor might have been a better option at the time, given that Flem was a bit desperate. Vincent's first over was decent but then Hussey exposed him as very hittable in the next one.

Whatever it takes!!!
Amazing win for NZ. Kudos to them. A real test of character now for Australia. But I think they will make it to the semis of the WC. Maybe they will lose there, but I certainly dont see them NOT making the semis, even though it doesn't as improbable now as it would have been few weeks ago.

NZ resting Bond and Vettori for the final match.

I can see our pace attack of Tuffey, Franklin, Gillespie goin for millions (maybe a slight exaggeration). Plus a combination of 2-3 filling the 5th bowling spot, id assume.

If Australia bat first, they would definitely get 300ish plus. And i cant see that attach restricting any Aussie chase

I heard John Bracewell on the radio earlier say that Oram could play tomorrow if it was a WC final with a pain-killing injection to his finger so it can't be too bad.

In other news, my best mates sister won Lotto Powerball on Saturday - $2.2 million

wow.... nice tidy sum

Anyway, i thought Chappellis articlewas quite good
The return of Gilchrist and Ponting will make a huge difference and Australia will still be a major force at the WC, especially when Clarke and Symonds return. To beat a wounded NZ on our own turf with so many key players out was always going to be tough for them. The 1st game was just one of those games any team has sometimes, Murphy's Law. They batted superbly in yesterday's game but were outdone by some special batting efforts from 3 players in Taylor, Fulton and McMillan. I don't think Australia need to panic at all.

Well done to them.

If it had been a little erlier I would have been asking for a chance to go to the WC.

Chappell's article highlights some real important stuff, i also feel that lee is more or less out till semi-final stages and as for symo his bowling, throwing, and hitting would surely be below par. The batting revolves around ponting and if he fails more or less so does our batting. Therefore i think its important that clarke makes big runs at no.4 at the world cup rather than these 30's and 40's he makes currently.

Now there's a thought Craig. (My mate's name's Craig as well)
What can you say, all great people have the name 'Craig' as their first or middle names. Actually last year I read an article in the paper and they considered it to be a '***y' name.

There you go
